90 minute hike from Newgate street. It was very muddy and slippery when we did it on 24th December 2022 so trekking poles were handy in places. The view from the top is totally worth it.

Easy fast hike up to see a stunning view of Picton and the surrounding sounds. Trail can get a bit narrow so wear good shoes and watch where you step. I wouldn’t try it in the rain, I imagine it’d be easy to slip off. Starting at 8 am on a Sunday we only came across 2 other people. By 9 am, a lot more people were turning up. Would not go any later than that as it must get quite crowded.

Absolutely stunning!I came early in the morning before sunrise and started walking for like 45 minutes until the view point.Beautiful hike with a stunning view of Picton from up above!!!!!!With sooo many colors in the sky!Absolutely worth it.

Nice and short way, the ground is really muddy so prepare your feet right. The view is very nice on picton.

It’s quite a long trail for beginners I would say! Couldn’t keep up till the end it was very warm as well so I just hike around 25min. I could see good views though at some parts. Beautiful!

Great walk with an amazing view! I was a little out of breath on the first part of the track, I didn't realize how steep it was until I came back down. The same with the width of the track when I crossed paths with others. Still loved it.

Easy walk with a few opening points on the way for photos. On top a small resting area with a bench if you don’t want to sit on the grass. Lots to see on the way. Birds, Plants and even Mushrooms.

Great track, modrate effort with minimal climbing over rough areas required. Awesome view from. Lookout can loop right round via town so no need to back track

This is by far my favourite walk in New Zealand, I do this daily when I stay in Picton, takes about 45 Minutes to get up, amazing view over Both Picton and Waikawa Harbour, good view point to watch the ferrys come in and out
