Cannot say enough good things about this company and Graig Dickie, Polite, professional, went out of their way to meet me in the middle over buying a car. Good stuff Haven Motors.

Terrible! Two awful experiences. Massive lack of customer service. All staff unfriendly and don’t look like they can be bothered to help. The first time was for a service and the car took 5+ hours rather than 3. And was almost double the quoted price.The second time the car took 3 hours rather than 1 hour (and this was a extra trip from Picton to Nelson for a airbag recall that they would have known about and could have ordered in for the first service & saved me a trip)Saw everyone else’s car being washed but didn’t happen either time. Lack of signage to know where to take your car and don’t expect much help here from the service guys.Would never bring a car back here again. Will go to Christchurch (from Picton) instead.

Our family like to buy from and support local business in Nelson.We found the sales manager to get very flustered and didn’t appear interested when we asked about pricing on different optional extras. I really don’t understand why it was such a hassle as there appeared to be a number of staff that didn’t look overly busy? We waited over a week for him to contact us back with some prices and came to the conclusion we should try elsewhere. After contacting another dealer in Christchurch we had pricing very promptly and ended up buying from them.It looks like we will just drive to Christchurch every time we need servicing done and flag this dealership altogether.

Google states you are open (08:00), but when one calls at (08:30), it states that is outside their working hours. Don't know how VW NZ and VW Germany allow such a slack branch to operate like this. Either change your hours, or answer the phone.

I haven't even had my car serviced yet and giving these guys 5 stars thanks to the over-the-phone service. Nicole is the benchmark for what I hope for when I make any sort of business enquiry. I hope the mechanics take just as much pride in their work.

Car service 17/2. No paperwork of work carried out provided. Please email (not received) and post a copy. Note the digital record has been set incorrectly for next service at 12 months or 9,700km. Were the tyres even rotated? What servicing was carried out? I was asked to come back from Blenheim to pick the paperwork up. These guys are great to deal with on the phone but sadly lack in person customer service or to even check paperwork and servicing had been carried out. Car is usually washed and it was not and covered in lots of gummy stuff on the car and windscreen. Not happy. Previously great to deal with.

Recently I bought a Mazda 2. The sales person went out of his way to explain everything fully and the whole process waseasy. I would have no hesitation to recommend Haven Motors to anyone who was looking at buying a new car.

Went in to test drive and buy a car, was asked if we were looking at purchasing that day, for which the answer was yes. Waiting for the final deal to add a tow bar and instead got a call in the afternoon to say that they had sold the car to someone else. Very poor sales experience.

I'm not going to bore you with the details, but I have had two encounters with Haven and they have both been terrible. Poor service and poor communication between receptionist, service technicians and customer. I am now taking my custom elsewhere.
