A great place to relax over food and drinks. Very open with a large and varied seating arrangements. From bar stools to inbuilt wall mounted seating. Nice lighting and easy to wander around. Friendly staff

By far my favourite place. Gluten-free options and vegan options and a changing menu keep this venue exciting. The staff are lovely and accommodating, and the drinks menu is fun to get through. The aesthetics of the venue are artistic and calming. I really enjoy that there's so many seating options, choosing whatever vibe you feel

Soft shell crab burger didn't taste like crab but overpowered with dressing and the taste of sesame oil.$27 was a bit pricey for 3 small sticky ribs taste of them was great though.

We were welcomed straight away. We could sit where we chose to and then place your order at the bar when ready. Excellent, it made for a relaxing meal not being regularly monitored by waiting staff.Asked if we'd been there before, which we appreciated being first timers.Very comfortable seating, we chose a booth.A vibrant, creative menu design which we would happily have paid for as a momento.The Astro burger, fries and lager were very good, all the elements worked and every bite was delicious. Bravo that these burgers were not oily/greasy, the flavour of the beef patties tasted of BBQ flame, giving a crispy texture on the outside while not dry inside.The Astro sauce had us dunking our fries until it was gone, a match made in heaven.Would happily pay for a bottle of Astro sauce, fingers crossed this is an offering in the future.Astro lager was enjoyable.Lunch special on the day just $20pp for a burger, fries and a lager.Looking forward to visiting again with friends & family to try the sharing platters.

Thought we’d give this place a go since it was new! It has very “Auckland” vibes to it.There are two entrances, the main one on Bank Street and one near the car park behind the Municipal Building, which has free parking after 6pm.On arrival you pick anywhere to sit and order your food and drinks at the bar. The decor is super cool and there are a few different types of seating options to choose from as well. We came in to try the food because the menu looked awesome, very cool Asian fusion style foods, and that was good but the service was kind of average.Portion sizes were decent and food came out in good time. We ordered three things to share - the squid, fried chicken bao buns and a soft shell crab burger. Highly rate the squid, bao buns and the sauce that the burger/chips come with but would pick a different protein for the burger next time - the soft shell crab didn’t taste right. Pricing is on the slightly higher side given that it’s “snack food” options, but our food came to $56 for what we ordered and that’s reasonable split between three people.We did find it a bit too loud, and the waitress made it feel like she was in a rush to get us out. Kept checking on us and wanting to clear our plates ASAP even though we hadn’t quite finished yet.Other than that, it is a cool new spot with a neat atmosphere and keen to go back on a slightly quieter week night and try other things off the menu!

Comfortable atmosphere, attentive service and a delicious soft shelled crab burger. Drinks were ordered at the same time as food, but my cocktail arrived so late, food was almost finished!Menu looked interesting, so I'll give them another chance

Nice venue, good for groups. Food mostly designed for sharing and was tasty overall and reasonable for the price. The Baos was a favorite. Large selection of cocktails and drinks. Would come back for sure.
