Vibrant Living Retreat & Day Spa

We stayed in the cottage for a couple of nights in late July. We loved the welcome we got and the location. The cottage was spacious, warm, had full kitchen facilities & was set in lovely garden setting. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.There was plenty of room to wander around. Being outside of Hanmer itself (5 minute drive to the pools), meant that street lights were minimal and we got the best view of the Milky Way of our entire one month holiday in the South Island.Being dog friendly, meant we had plenty of room to walk Luna around and to greet Magica, the owners very chilled dog. The retreat is next to the animal park, so Luna got to say hi (through the fence) to the full range of animals next door eg deers, horses, emus, etc.Breakfast was vegetarian and fabulous.Would definitely recommend staying in the cottage. Best massage in hanmer! Much better than the pools. Very professional and listen to your needs. I have been twice now and walked out feeling amazing both times! 2.5hr bliss package highly recommend.

We stayed here after finishing a bicycle tour. The relaxing atmosphere and warm energy at the retreat was just what we needed to unwind and process the trip. Steve's breakfasts were incredible for recovery. You can tell he and Mary Jo have a passion for what they do and enjoy it. We even got a fiery sunset (photo taken from our room) and a stunning rainbow during our 2-day visit! Highly recommended.

Cannot recommend Vibrant Living Retreat more! I turned up with my very nervous and anxious elderly mother who had already decided she didn't want a bar of the treatments I had booked. Mary Jo was so welcoming, supportive and generous in adjusting treatments to accommodate my mother and make her comfortable that by the time our session was over mum who hadn't wanted to come in the first place never wanted to leave! It was a stunning transformation and handled with such care and patience by the Vibrant Living Team. The treatments themselves were also fantastic. Thank you so much!

We had a great stay with Mary Jo and Steve. We used the Fat Bikes, hung out in the spa, did yoga with knowledgeable Mary Jo and ate great food, lovingly made by Steve. A very restorative experience!

We had an awesome ladies weekend. We spent a night in the cottage, had an extended relaxing massage, yoga and lovely breakfast. Steve, Mary Joand Magica the dog were great hosts. Cottage was clean and well equipped. I have been a few timesnow and will be back again, highly recommend The vibrant retreat. Thank you so much.

Vibrant living retreat was by far the best experience ever. Me and my husband felt very welcome from the moment we arrived, the host's Steve, mary-jo and jess were amazing. We had the most relaxing time. We were left to our device's. However if we needed anything they were always there with a helping hand. Villa was beyond expectations. Immaculate and very cosy. Very private, including spa pool area. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. With Steve's home baked breads. We Had a full body massages from jess and Mary-jo. Exceptional. We will definitely be returning one day for another visit. Jessica and Jesse Burnett.
