Wow! What a day! We booked a package at Happy Travellers storefront in Queenstown: coach Queenstown to Piopiotahi (aka Milford Sound) return plus cruise on one of their new boats! It was the cheapest option at the time ($190pp), they fed us lunch (I have a huge number of dietary requirements and they fed me a delicious lunch and even talked me through all the ingredients without me asking), the captain on the boat was lovely and knowledgeable. But the highlight (aside from the obvious beauty of Milford, for which no company can take credit) was our bus tour guide, Scotty! He was SOOO fun, knowledgeable, patient, generous and just made the whole day amazing. Fantastic from start to finish, thank you!

Everything was perfect from beginning till the end. I love how Debbie(our driver) is passionate about every detail from trees to birds along the way. She was even slowing down in some parts so that we can see beautiful views longer and take a picThe cruise was really nice as well. You have so many options to see the views sitting outside & inside, front outside or climb the top.Food was fulfilling.Thank you so much for the ride & experience i genuinely suggest everyone to choose them if you guys couldn’t decide on any option

If i could give 7 stars for this i definitely would!! The view was second to none, the cruise was really comfortable as well. Overall the experience was amazing! The best part of the tour was our amazing driver, Ian. Very entertaining and informative. Definitely a driver with a very vast knowledge! Will definitely come back again!

I would have given the Pure Milford 6 stars as the lady bus driver was informative, funny, entertaining and had vast knowledge of the area from the mountains to the trees, animals and history. The added benefit was the glass top bus so we could all see the mountain peaks. The boat cruise was also well organized and all staff were friendly and readily available for any questions. This trip is a MUST DO!cannot recommend t

Highly recommend this cruise, spectacular views. I'm prone to getting sea sick, but I didn't on this cruise. The water in the fiord is calm and the boat goes to Tasman sea for about 15-20 minutes and the swell didn't cause any sea sickness. Just ensure to take motion sickness tablet and you should be fine. Hope this info is helpful for some.

My 2nd time with Pure Milford and just as awesome as the first time. The boat is huge and set up perfectly to show off the beauty of Milford Sound. The crew are only too happy to engage with the customers and encourage everyone out on deck to experience the full force of the Sound. I will continue to use Pure Milford whenever I am back...

Caught a Pure Milford tour bus & cruise package into Milford Sounds. Ian, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, patient and had a good sense of humor. Plenty of stops along the tour for photos. The bus ride was comfortable enough and had a nice sky roof. The cruise ship was beautiful and felt modern/new. The crew staff were friendly and helpful too. A much appreciated packed lunch and pie was provided for us aboard the ship along with free hot drinks. Keep in mind that this is a tour, and the bus ride literally takes a full day. This is one of the more affordable tour options for Milford Sounds but it's worth it.

Milford sound is a lovely place and I really enjoyed the boat ride and the scenery. However when we spotted dolphins, one of the tour guides was right at the front and blocking mine and others view of the dolphins which meant I couldn’t get a good picture or a good look at them. I found this so rude and inconsiderate as I’m sure these boat tour guides see dolphins all the time, however being from the UK I never do. I felt really upset I didn’t get a chance to see the dolphins properly, selfish tour guide

Awesome Milford experience, bus - cruise - bus. Joined the tour at Te Anau. Brian the coach driver provided a good commentary and plenty of photo opportunities along the way. A Kea appeared at one photo stop and revelled in the attention. A beautiful catamaran took us out through the Fiord, nearly to the sea and on the return journey came in close to a beautiful waterfall, providing great photo opportunities. Captain and crew were keen to impart their knowledge about the environment and wildlife - saw sea lions, shags and dolphins. A nice lunch was provided. Would highly recommend Pure Milford to those who wished to experience a memorable journey.

What an amazing day. Pure Milford's coach-cruise-coach was spectacular. Scottie was the coach driver and guide. Scottie you are the bestie!. So informative, kind and humorous.Your commentary mixed with myths,stories and science made the understanding of certain sites so easy. We made 8 stops for siteseeing...Yaay.
