Savemart New Lynn

Edit: previous post is from 2022 and now that I've come back in 2023 it's time for a new review.2023: Perhaps a tad overpriced this time round for what it's worth although the selection is significantly better than my previous encounter. My bag was collected at the start which is understandable given the sign but other individuals with bags larger than mine didn't get collected, noting a double standard at play here. I did come away with two items although on the more expensive side. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in New Lynn.2022: From the exterior (and perhaps even the interior) it doesn't look like a welcoming place. But it sells clothes, second-hand clothes that is. And it does a fine job of doing just that. Although the day I visited I didn't find anything to purchase. I would have been able to come away with a few items had I been there longer! Prices are reasonable when compared to what the RRP could have been.

I'm sure the shop is nice. But I waited outside for 20 minutes for it to open to donate some kids clothes only to be told to take it to 19 Portage Road. A sign on your door would be amazing... Here is a picture of 19 Portage Road by the way....

Was absolutely shocked to see prices of clothing here' second hand clothes being sold at the price of new clothing,, a pair of underwear selling for more than it cost brand new' from T shirts to singlets to dresses to pants/shorts Highly disturbing seeing prices use to be a very good store its definitely gone from 5 star rating to a one' you are better off going to posite plus or the warehouse prices are cheaper than second hand.

Yes prices went up on these donated clothes... but you can still have some good bargains...But the carpark is unbelievable how many deep potholes it had... you can easily ruin your car. At least it's a huge carpark.Going to Save Mart for years and no change.... also you think that you are browsing for hours they will install some toilets, especially so many young mums with children visiting the shop.Come on get on with the new times.Who is in charge of this shop???

The most of prices gone up compared to a few years ago. However you will still find something you will really like including a dress-up occasion and everyday use.

There are bargains to be had if you are prepared to spend time hunting through the racks. But be very careful you are not paying too much, H&M and similar stores have new items for around the same price, sometimes less if you get them on sale. I wish they would clear out the old stuff that has been there months on a more regular basis, the racks are jam packed, a lot of it being absolute rubbish. Can not understand why they do not reduce their prices and move stuff through quickly, they is so much stock and it is all donated!!

Too much price for the second hand used clothing. I don't find any justification of such abnormal pricing. It's better to buy brand new one. Lots of parking facilities, but don't find any toilet for customer's use.
