The Greatest DVD store ever,and the very last of its kind on the lovely North Shore!!it brings back my childhood memories of getting GI Joe videos while my sister's choose Barbie's.The concept of the store is the same azz wen I was a little boy and I still get excited reading the backs of DVDs and seeing what will be in new next visit.excellent customer service, A Large range of new and 2nd hand movies to hire Or own for a super small fee. Let's ensure this store lives on for the next Generations to come!!!

So disappointed!!After purchasing a hop card in their store I realised they have given the incorrect hop card! They gave me the old hop card not the new one (with a chain) that I have asked for!! So I asked the person who have sold me my hop card to change the card that they have issued And he said he can't because they have already loaded my money in the card that he had given me! They said if I want to get the new one I have to spend another $10 to replace the new card that I just bought!!Not my fault if the old man did not hear me say the new card. But yes! I wanted the new card... or at least offered me the new card to remind himself that I wanted the new card!!!Also the lady their was so RUDE! I was standing there in the counter FIRST IN THE LINE as I was waiting for any of them to serve me. Then finally one of their staffs approached the counter she insisting to serve the lady next to me! Even though I was standing there before her! Good thing the lady said I was there first!

I have been a patron of Civic Glenfield for over 20 years and despite having Netflix and obviously all the online access to movies/TV that we have now I still like to go and hire DVD's now and then. I know the DVD stores" are a dying breed but the staff at CG are awesome. If the day ever comes the store shuts I will be very sad."

Great selection of movies. Customer service is seriously lacking though. And a couple of times I've gone in with my young son and they've been playing horror movies in the screens.

The best video shop in the North Shore, sad to see them go. Make the most of the closing down sale! Great selection of dvds and video games

Dying bread of movie watching. They are protected by draconian NZ laws which prevents Netflix to show its full catalog here. Staff is great. Always helpful and you can see that few of them are a movie buffs.

We love this place. The fact it gets us out the house and be old skool with the kids. The staff are just lovely and more than happy to help. We drove from torbay to Glenfield to choose dvds

An excellent video rental store: huge selection, well-laid out, very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and titles take less time to go from New Release to Recent Release to Weekly than other video stores I've visited. Better pickings than NetFlix for me.
