Bupa Hillsborough Care Home

Not a good care home. Staff left my mother with such a bad rash from lack of care she was admitted to hospital. I had to push for them to call an ambulance. Her new clothes went missing never to be found. I moved her to a better facility.I would not recommend this place

My husband is here in this nips home for 4 years. We love the service that is given to him. All staff and management treats him with respect. Food is good and yummy. View of the place is stunning. Highly recommend this place. Staff and management are very good and kind.

Excellent service provided by staff. Supportive management. Good food excellent place to keep ur loved ones. Totally recommend.

My mother in-law has been at BUPA Hillsborough Care Home for the past couple of years and when I had to bring my elderly Dad closer to me in Auckland from Cambridge to get the care he needed I did not hesitate to bring him to BUPA Hillsborough care home too. It maybe a bit more convenient to visit elderly parents in the same care facility but also we know the caring staff will look after them too. The staff were very welcoming towards Dad when he came with my partner and I for a visit to see my mother in-law even providing him with lunch spontaneously. Just these simple caring actions made it so much easier for me when I had to tell Dad he needed to go into a care facility. Once past the initial emotional roller coaster of his change in life situation he has been very happy with his new home which he repeatedly tells family & visitors. Patricia the Manager & Jinumon the Clinical Manager head up a wonderful and caring staff so if you are thinking of putting your loved one into a care facility, I can certainly recommend BUPA Hillsborough Care Home.

Lovely location, my mum stayed here for respite care many decades back and now a friend has been there for 8 months now. Hes very happy with the medical care ,staff and meals and can now go on outings. The other residents are nice friendly people too.

Not recommended - my Dad was very unhappy here. The smell of soiled linen (which sits in cloth laundry bags outside the patient room) was overwhelming as you walked down the hall. My poor Dad was at end of life and got Mum to take him home when his breakfast complete with cockroach on tray. The meals were very ordinary. It was often difficult to even find a staff member. There are much better facilities around than this place

Very very friendly staff. A pleasure to deal with. A very home like atmosphere where one can see staff helping our senior inmates just like their own. Management always approachable and take into consideration any concerns or requests you have. They explain what can n what cannot be done for your loved ones. I wouldn’t mind living here if I need a rest home. Dr Sam Tangri
