We stayed 2 nights whilst doing the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. There were 9 of us, two families, and we stayed in the bunk room and cottage. Di and Melana were really helpful. We got takeaways for dinner and ate in the garden. The kids enjoyed playing board games after dinner. The rooms were lovely and facilities well presented. Easy walk to collect rental bikes with Top Trails.

Was very impressed with the hotel. Has been done up beautifully and the ensuite was modern but in keeping with the heritage style of the building. Very comfy beds and our king size room was impressively large. Was disappointed the Mint restaurant wasn't operating but we had a nice bar meal at the pub down the road. The hotel is well positioned to the Twin coast trail and easy to find. Will stay again if staying in the area.

10/10 for us. Under new management and they are a super helpful. Izabela is a great host! Very accomodating, very friendly and great cooks!

We'd a lovely stay in the backpackers part of Left Bank. Extremely warm welcome from Audrey, well looked after. Bedrooms and bathrooms v clean and comfortable. Kitchen is small and basic.Highly recommend if you're song the cycle trail, visiting hot pools, or on Kaikohe for another reason.

First of all I/we especially want to thank Audrey for her excellent hospitality.The Left Bank accommodation is a place of grandeur.The rooms provide grandeur throughout which includes all the furnishings and chattels.A large room to relax in total comfort and with all the amenities to appreciate.This is truly a 5 Star Motel.We will be back.Therefore if you are looking for exquisite grandeur accommodation in Kaikohe we strongly recommend you stay at the Left Bank.Rachel and Martha

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in October 2022 at the Left Bank Hotel, Kaikohe.The room we were allocated was in the cottage adjacent to the main building.The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable.The secure car parking was just that !We had dinner each night in the hotel restaurant. The food was well presented, very tasty and gave us lots of choice.The staff at the hotel were friendly, welcoming and helpful.We used the hotel as a base as we cycled the 'Twin Coast Cycle Trail' - one day we cycled to the east - the next day we cycled to the west.It was a most enjoyable few days.Dennis & Alison DickinsonPalmerston North

Since working in Kaikohe the past month Left Bank has been accommodation of choice. Centrally located, handy to shops and work.The team at Left Bank are very hospitable and are great hosts that have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and like part of the family. They've whipped up some great meals for me, as well as packing a couple of dinners to take with me when working late.Highly recommend Left Bank for your next stay in Kaikohe.

Hotel has been sympathetically renovated and has bright charming rooms. Follow instructions (phone calls and keys) and all works well. Sadly noisy street racers/ dragsters on Main Street de track from this nice place trying to make it in a struggling town. Safe parking in lock up across street behind police station, this is great location to do half or all of the Twin Coast Cycle track.
