Spa Lodge Motel

We absolutely loved it! Wished we had stayed longer. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room/ rooms were cozy and comfortable and warm. We were given a recommendation for dinner and it was a long wait (we visited in the busy season) food was delicious and the hotel gave us a discount voucher to use. The hotel is a little older but well maintained and really clean. The parking is free and close to the rooms and there is a small playground and lawn area on site. The reception had board games to borrow and our kitchen was stocked well with crockery etc. for our stay. We didn't use the laundry but there was one on site. They are more eco friendly than some of the other places we stayed. When we go back we will definitely stay there again. We recommend driving from Christchurch as the Kaikoura road is longer, windy and steeper. Such a beautiful spot to visit. We were in walking distance of the main street and thermal attraction.

Super clean rooms and comfortable beds. Our host Simone was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended if you want affordable accommodation located centrally in the Hanmer Springs village.

This was our second stay at the Spa Lodge Motel and was as great as the first. The unit was immaculate and now had fresh paint and new lounge suit (very comfy). It is an older Motel but is extremely spacious and the location is fantastic for walking distance to everything. Very good value for money and will certainly be back!

Room a little dated but very clean. Nice welcoming host. Short walk to pools. Overall very happy and will stay here again.

For a Motel that has been around a while it had excellent facilities including very comfy bed, excellent shower pressure, everything you would want, ample power points, lovely and clean, very close to the springs and shops, parking on site, complimentary towels for the springs, 50+ sky channels all topped off with excellent value and a friendly helpful hostess in Monique. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely place, but the bathroom needs to be updated very difficult to get into the shower
