Chipmunks Playland and Cafe Tawa
Amazing staff (two of them!!!) handled a packed house full of xmas crazed kids and parents like complete pros!! We had a double bday party with over 15 tamariki and heaps of hungry, thirsty parents who ordered coffees and burgers, pizzas etc... I was amazed at how they gave us all such great service! Those two young staff on 18 Dec 2022 deserve recognition for a job extremely well done!!!

We had the place for Private Hire. Lovely place for kids to play around. There were 2 staff for support during the hire. One of the staff member was courteous & lovely to talk to but the other one was rude and spoiled the enthusiasm at the very start. Since the experience was not very pleasant at the start we pledge not to hire again & would rather go for a community center and set up everything there.They promised to refund within a week. However still waiting.Thank you.

Children had fun, equipment needs updating and maintenance. Brought my kids here 6 or 7 years ago and nothing had really changed besides the aged equipment

Awesome potential but based on the previous reviews the facilities have been run down over the last year or so.Certain parts of the playground were worn out with padding tearing away and wooden panels exposed to playing children.Playgrounds were a mess and games tables missing equipment and parts making them suitable to play.Not one of the 8 balls cannons were operational.Staff were out the back the whole time and only came out when people were waiting at the counter.Also no music was playing ? Would have thought music was standard of a place like this.

This place has really grown recently, with new areas for both little kids (home/kitchen play area and expanded ride on area with seats for grown ups) as well as some video games for older kids and foos ball and table hockey. Food is there usual for kids parties. Good, child/potent friendly bathroom facilities.

Great place, great service! We booked a venue for our child's birthday and received fantastic service from the team at Chipmunks. The venue is very clean, well run and safe for kids. The food and snacks were also really good and kids loved it. Will definitely recommend.

It is what you would/ should expect.Happy screaming children and parents/ caregivers having a few minutes to sit down and have a drink or bite to eat.They have a smaller fence of area for the little ones to explore and the more adventurous children can go through the slides and climbing areas.The food suffers from airport pricing(is the only food in our and we can make a cap job of it, cause you can't bring your own, oh and we will charge you an arm and a leg for it), the coffee was drinkable, but expensive. The chicken nuggets and chips were dry(for the nuggets) and soggy for chips.All in all a great morning, no surprises here

Good place for kids of early ages. Staff can be hard to find at times. This place can get real busy quick so I would highly recommend if you are placing orders for food you plan accordingly to avoid grumpy kids.Food and coffee is not too bad either.
