RaD Car Hire Nelson

Brilliant car for a great price. I was hesitant booking a Honda Jazz Hybrid but the price per day and the opportunity to have a hybrid to reduce the fuel cost was too tough to walk past. The car was huge and super zippy and I will definitely book another one of these in the future.The booking service was quick and easy, pick up at the airport was prompt and drop off at the end of the hire was also easy.I have marked it down a star as we were unable to use a Debit car to pay for the booking as it wasn't a credit card. The excuse given was that the insurance might be declined because of us not using a credit card to pay for the rental. This might have been believable HOWEVER as we bought out the insurance to a zero excess it made no sense as even if there was an accident there wouldn't have been a charge to the card we used to pay.Other than that I would highly recommend RaD Car Hire and I'd definitely suggest giving the little hybrids a shot.

Great service including top comms, instructions and no hassles whatsoever. The vehicle was a dream to drive and explore the beautiful landscapes from Nelson to Cape Farewell. Value for money and a great experience.

Fantastic experience. They were even kind enough to extend the car hire for another 3 hours to fit our flight timings at no extra cost. Bet no one else does it.

Great service from pickup to drop-off!Hired in late May 2021. Good communication from RaD, with clear and concise email correspondence.Collected after hours at Nelson airport which was smooth, and something that a lot of other companies didn't offer.The vehicle was spotless with very low KM's. I found it very economical for the short, city-only driving I was doing.Next time I'm in town I'll be using RaD again.Derek and the staff were great to deal with.

RaD made hiring a very nice four-person care SO EASY. We walked out of the terminal in Nelson to pick our car up (after hours) in an airport car park and returned it the same way. Simple. Communication was friendly, quick, and covered everything we needed to know. Pricing was very competitive. The car was tidy, modern, and new. I'll go with RaD again.

Worst company I've ever seen.We have reserved a car a month ago, but when we got off the plane, your company told me that there is no car and can't help me find the car. You have repeatedly emphasized that you have sent me an email at that time. Unfortunately, the email went to the bin. I didn't check it, and you didn't call me once in this month even though I didn't reply to your emails! This is your job? Just send the email? No phone calls or text messages? Fortunately, we met a group of good people, even though they didn't have a car, they called everywhere to help us find a car! It's me who should be ashamed of you.

Fabulous service from the team at RaD Car Hire. The car was immaculate and lovely and spacious and VERY economical on gas. It was a simple smooth process from start to finish. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks again
