Awesome beach! Lots of room to enjoy and explore. Stopped and talked with a local fisherman who was very friendly and willing to answer questions about what he was doing.

Easy access to the beach and quieter than the Mount or Papamoa Domain.

Good spot

Great place to access the beach, take the dog for a walk and go for a swim

A large group of teenagers were in the parking lot drinking and down on the beach with a vehicle and very loud base and fire on beach. Smashing bottles, swearing, being rude and aggressive and typical bad behaviour from local young people. It's an alcohol free area and a freedom camping area. At least three motorhomes had to leave late at night as they didn't feel safe and worried about damage to their vehicles, broken glass etc. There was a couple in a caravan who were stuck there right by the group as that takes time to move. The police were called early but were too busy and then finally only one car turned up and they were too intimidated to move them on. So had to wait for backup. Too little too late. Tauranga is ruined by bad behaviour for substance abuse users. Another night of no sleep and feeling unsafe. And no cameras there. Shame on the parents.

Awesome beach access.Designated parks for freedom campers, launch ramp for boaties, even a “toy library” for the kiddo’s.Can get busy.Can attract larrikins.

This is an Awesome place to fish

A great off leash dog area at the far end of Papamoa Beach. Fantastic to have like minded dog friendly people about. I usually manage to get a car park on the side with Creek below. I can either sit in my car and watch my boy" explore or take my Wheelchair to side of boat ramp and look out to sea and watch Chessie. Found people to be really helpful and offered to push me down onto beach
