The service and drink was great, only issue I have with this store is that is located next to a fish shop so it smells fishy when you are waiting for your order or dining in.

Was very busy that day but the ladies kept up amazing service and everyone received their drinks with a smile. They was nice and loud and clear when calling out the orders. I enjoyed my caramel extreme was worth the wait. Thank you Starbucks Manukau I look forward to my return trip.

The only thing I ever win playing lotto is bonus strike tickets, and on the odd occasion I go to the casino, I’m balling if I validate my parking. So imagine my shock when the lady behind the counter called my name and then said “we’re doing staff training, help yourself to one of the FREE drinks on the bench.” I picked up this fancy looking thing covered in whipped cream caramel drizzle. I still have no idea what it was but it made the latte I ordered look like a cup of instant coffee wearing a pretty dress. I haven’t been back since however as I’m nervous of disappointment. I hit the jackpot that day and it felt good to come out on top. I’d had a taste of the good life, and I don’t know if I could risk it and come out with only the coffee I paid for. But that got me thinking, Starbucks as a global company have a pretty questionable moral compass, and if they’re prepared to openly avoid paying tax in certain areas, then surely they’d have no problem with abusing their employees by firing them as soon as they’re fully trained and moving in the next lot… a barista sweatshop. 5 new part time staff to a machine, pumping out a non stop supply of free training coffees. They even use caramel drizzle to write secret messages begging for help. Unfortunately we’ve grown accustomed to the free training coffees, so we look the other way as Starbucks install anti suicide nets around the panini presses. Before you know it Starbucks is “employing” child labour and confiscating workers passports. We start to hear stories about the baristas that have completed their training being taken out the back and being recycled and turned into the self service kiosks for McDonald’s. Surely something must be done, how could we let these blatant human rights violations happen in our back yard! And then just as you’re about to speak up you realise that they’ve given you regular milk when you clearly stated that you needed almond milk. Honestly, how can you be expected to care about “alleged” misery and suffering when no one is respecting your lactose intolerance. And so you demand they make it again and pick up you’re free training coffee on your way out, pausing only briefly to scan your Starbucks loyalty card, it won’t be long now until you have enough points to go to the auctions and get your very own barista to take home…… But yeah, overall friendly staff, great service and decent coffee. Definitely worth a visit, especially if they have free training coffees.

Great service even though they are really busy, the māori guy came out frequently to check if customers have got their orders instead of them waiting forever outside. The caramel frappuccino tasted amazing! Thank you.

I went to this location as the one nearest me was closed. I ordered at the front counter and the girl taking my order was obviously new, which I didn’t mind. Everyone’s been new at their job before and POS systems can be very confusing, but unfortunately this led to a couple of problems. I ordered an iced latte with a single blonde roast shot, 2 pumps of vanilla syrup, vanilla cold foam and oat milk. The girl did ask her manager how to put 1 shot through the system, but I think she actually put an EXTRA shot so it was 4 instead of a single. My drink ended up costing $11.30, and I was confused when paying because the app told me it should be $10.30, but I wasn’t going to confront them acting like I know the system or prices more than the employees, so I just paid for the drink. When I got it, it seemed way to dark for a single shot drink and when I took a sip I understood what had happened. The 4 shots was obviously way too bitter and too much for me so I went back and explained what I thought had happened and the girl was so lovely and told me she would remake it straight away, and I didn’t worry about asking for the $1 refund of the extra shot (everyone makes mistakes and I could handle an extra dollar). She remade it and it was definitely 1 shot this time, but I think the 2 pumps of vanilla syrup were left out in both drinks because I got absolutely no vanilla flavour or sweetness. I didn’t want to ask them to make it again so I just went on my way and had to make up a sort of sugar syrup when I got home to sweeten it. So unfortunately I paid $11.30 for my drink which should’ve cost $9.30 since it didn’t have the syrup or the extra shot I paid for. The employees were super nice, but it unfortunately was a bit annoying and I wasn’t able to enjoy my drink as much as I was hoping to.

Not just good coffee but amazing customer service from Jorja (Hopefully spelt her name right). Often we feel like our children sharing their stories slows the flow, but this young wahine took the time to listen. On Mothersday, that meant the world to me. Thanks for that.
