Merryland Childcare Centre

The teachers here are kind, educative & caring. My son likes coming to Merryland and spending time, learning and playing with other kids.I would highly recommend this childcare center.

My daughter has been going there for about a year now and she loves it! It's been great for us as it's a smallish centre, so everyone gets the proper attention. Our girl started out very young, she had just turned 1 and was extremely attached to us, wouldn't go with anyone else. It was a hard transition for us all but they gave us all the support and made us feel safe. Our girl is very well cared for, she feels at home at Merryland. Another thing I like is how they make their own food there and it's all natural and sugar free. Furthermore, they're a very inclusive and culturally diverse centre where our language and ancestry is celebrated. Kids and staff are from all parts of the world and all cultures are welcome.Arunima, the owner/manager, is generous and approachable. I highly recommend this centre.

We have two boys at Merrylands. One started at 2 1/2 when we moved from another centre and the other started at 1 year.Merryland staff are the reason we love the centre. They are welcoming and know us all by name. Each day we receive a run down of the boys day and what they got up to, this has been invaluable given how much time they spend with our children. We trust them implicitly and know the boys have a wonderful fun filled day with some structure but even more fun. Merrylands is culturally diverse and make a real effort to involve the children in various cultural celebrations; matariki, chinese new year, diwali etc. something that is very important to us as parents in ensuring our boys are raised in a diverse, friendly and accepting community.Parents and whanau are actively involved in daily Merrylands life with the Storypark app which is where we can see daily photos of activities and can share feedback and comments. Parents are invited to numerous celebrations and activities throughout the year whether that be Christmas festivities, farm visits, mat times or cultural celebrations.The facilities are fantastic with a small role that allows small teacher to child ratios and a personable experience for all. Age groups are separated into under 2's and over 2's which gives children and opportunity to mingle with older or younger children and learn respect and caring attitudes to their friends as well as responsibilities and role modelling for other children.Our oldest son has just left to start school and to say he was ready for school is an understatement. His age group had targeted literacy and numeracy exercises to help prep them for new entrant level which meant transitioning to school was seamless.Our boys have thrived at Merrylands which brings us as parents comfort and trust in their daily care.

My daughter Roma joined Merryland a month ago and she is already loving it. Its simply wonderful as a parent to know that your child walks into daycare with a big smile. The team is so supportive and so kind with the tamariki and with parents alike that it is a relief to know my daughter is in the best hands. Thank you so much for the dedication and love you give to every child. I couldn't recommend this daycare enough!

After spending time visiting a number of child care centres, I knew we had struck gold when visiting Merryland.A safe, fun and thoughtful environment, our son is so happy and comfortable there. The teachers are engaged and actively involved in making sure he is well looked after, and we’re very grateful for their support. They made the transition easy for him and us!

My son has been a part of the centre for the past year and he absolutely loves it. He has developed strong relationships with the children and the teachers at the centre. The centre is well maintained and the staff are loving. The meals are absolutely delicious! The lovely open views to Mt. Albert farms are so welcoming and the large glass windows brings in natural light with it. I love to read the different posts on my child's learning at the centre.I would highly recommend it to anyone!

My son went to Merryland for two years.They are an amazing bunch of people. They always go the extra mile and the atmosphere there is amazing. I definitely recommend it.

Leaving our child at Merryland for the past few months has been an incredible experience from start to finish. last week was our child's last week at the daycare, and we couldn't be more grateful for the love, care, and nurturing environment they have provided.From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff welcomed us well and made us feel like part of their extended family. The dedication and passion they have for their work are truly commendable. Our child formed deep connections with their teachers, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure their happiness, safety, and overall development.The activities at Merryland is outstanding, striking a perfect balance between structured learning and fun activities. My husband and I took our time researching the best daycare that suited our needs and ultimately found Merryland to be our favourite. The staff are so caring and loving and its made my life that much easier knowing my child enjoys and thrives in a safe environment. I can’t thank the staff enough.
