Akaroa Adventure Centre
We rented a 4 person pedal boat for 30 minutes and the person working was rude to one of the people in our group. I understand balancing weight, but the seats did not accommodate for anyone over a size 10. We had to go back to shore and change seats and it was still horrible. The seats were flimsy and kept coming loose. If your boats cannot handle people of a certain size, just say so. It was really a miserable experience for all of us.

Akaroa Adventure Centre
I took a group of Japanese students to Akaroa for the day and we went kayaking. They had a blast! The kayaks were nice and sturdy and easy for the students to use. The location is great. Even though it was very windy being in the harbour meant the students felt comfortable and were able to enjoy themselves. I'll definitely be doing this again with my future groups.

Akaroa Adventure Centre
Me and my friends stoped in the Akaroa Adventure Centre to ask for some opportunity how we can spend the active afternnon over there.We decided to go to play minigolf at the first and went to pedal boats after.We enjoyed all of this afternoon, it was realy nice and funny! Beautiful and helpfull staff and places which we could see! I can fully recomend it!!!

Akaroa Adventure Centre
I visited Akaroa in February, which was my third time visit to this beautiful place, and for the very first time, I decided to give stand up paddle boarding a go. It was an hour of fun and seeing the volcanic scenery Akaroa itself from the board on the water was amazing. Sadly I didn't get to see any dolphins. Being sheltered I felt safe in the Harbour but given this was my first time on a board, I wasn't game enough to take any photos while standing up on the board. Maybe next time I'll try kayaking. Highly recommended.

Lovely sea kayaking experience, however pretty sad not to see any dolphins. When we asked the best spots to see a dolphin, we were told it was just ‘luck’

Tried to hire a kayak.. a bit too windy.. fair enough. How about some bikes? Well for saying they are an 'Adventure Centre' the only bikes they had were two very tired low end bikes of the wrong size for us, one with a 'ladies' frame and both worth less than the hiring fee. When I suggested that needs must when you are trying to find something to do, and therefore if they could reduce the hiring fee we might consider hiring the bikes, the woman on the desk was having none of it an even seemed incredulous to the suggestion!Well good luck if that's your attitude, I'm sure you didn't need our money!

Absolutely fabulous trip out on the kayaks! Staff was very friendly and eager to answer all our questions. Told us a great spot to see a dolphin, we were very lucky and saw 3! All in all a wonderful experience!

The team were helpful with great local advice. Couldn't have picked a more beautiful day and location for a kayaking adventure. Strongly recommend you try this out at least once! We'll be back

Didn't actually get to kayak due to the weather conditions. Full refund was given and we were warned of the possible cancellation a day in advance.
