We have been speaking with G.J.'s since July 2021 about our new build (before we got title on our section). The handover for our new home is tomorrow and we're so excited to be nearly moved into our beautiful new family home! The process with G.J.'s has been very smooth and that's with all the Covid-related supply chain issues that the country has been having over the last year. At certain stages of the build, we were worried we weren't going to get timber framing or Gib, but it all worked out and went incredibly well. Our construction manager, Andrew, has been an absolute pleasure to work with - very responsive to ALL my emails (haha - poor guy!) and gets things done. Very pleased with our overall experience.

We thought we were building our dream home. We didn't even come close.Frustrating experience.Be prepared to have clear discussions on things and be told ‘yes we can do exactly that’ and then have them send a document that is 90% builder jargon that you need to ‘approve’. They will say this document is what we talked about.Later on you will find out that the document does not match the discussions and as you agreed to the document, you are stuck with it.Happened multiple times.If something is in the contract but not on the plan, ask them where it is going, because it will probably end up in a place you aren't happy with.
