Window Factory (by Aluminium City)

I contacted this company on the 29th of Nov'22 for an estimate on windows. In my email I stated that I needed my old wooden windows replaced by double glazed aluminium. I asked when they possibly could do installation, should we accept the estimation and I gave the measurements of the windows. A week later I had not heard anything and followed up asking when we could expect the estimation. After the second email Amber called and asked if they, being Aluminium City, had sent me the quote (meaning the documents with the measurements that I had sent her). Why would I send them a quote they think they've done and ask for an estimate? I told her no, those are just measurements. She then called me again later. She then said that she cannot give me an estimation without all the info, asking if we currently have windows in, if we need rubbish removal, if we wanted them to install the windows. All which was already covered in my email with the measurements. She then wanted me to send her my other quote so that they could beat it. That sounds great and all (but i dont feel thats right, you should have a competitive price that you can proudly stand by) but she got irritated about it which then got me irritated. Instead of reading the email properly Amber rather thought she would call me out on also getting irritated. She then carried on that they charge for a site measurement. I said that the other company didn't. She stated that they charge for the petrol and time they take to do it. And rightfully so, that is great if both parties agree on it. But then to call me out on actually having another quote already, she said that I should probably then go ahead with the other quote instead, seeing as we were both now irritated. What would have been great....taking my measurements, reading my email, and sending an estimate accordingly.

Fraser and Nick were amazing to deal with! I have used other joinery companies before and won’t be going anywhere, but here in the future. Their prices are fair; but it’s their service that separates these guys from the other providers in the market. I highly recommend these guys and we’re appreciative of their efforts. Being an accountant, it was important to get a good price but also feel that the job was going to be managed well. We have an old villa and changing to aluminium windows was a tough choice. Nicks help with ideas and sending us to look at other houses that were similar in what we wanted to achieve was great. The result is fantastic. The team turned up and were so helpful, they even did a few extra jobs for us. They cleaned up and were very aware of the fact that we had a little dog that was not allowed off the section. Overall, we are very happy and will be getting them back to continue with our upgrade project.
