Nice atmosphere at the Heritage Hotel and very kind service from the chef!The food selection is so vast, the menu has more options than what is stated on the website. Berliner Currywurst was good, but had too much sauce and additional ketchup by the side. For sure had better currywurst in Berlin for a much lower price as well.Totally worth it to try out once!

Good German food. Bit on the pricey side, but I could easily eat a bucket of their slaw. I’m not an expert, but I did live in Germany for a few years and this is pretty spot on.

Unexpected perfect, best cuisine I've had in ages, so many items on the menu that I will have to return multiple times just to try everything once!. In a city full of Asian and Indian options this is a breath of fresh air! Top it off with an awesome venue being in an atrium, and it sounds like the dining gem that it is. ( and this opinion is after just one visit!) I'll be back!

We booked on First Table. The service is friendly and the menu has plenty to choose from. There's a self service salad bar which is a nice touch. All the wine is organic and therefore quite pricey. On a cold Auckland night we appreciated the tasty snd generous German fare.

The platter was nice, kid's corner and complimentary salad bar were bonus. It is spacious and the staff members were friendly and helpful.

Excellent food and great service. Beautiful sitting area - tables not too close to each other, lots of air due to the open ceiling. Kids corner also greatly appreciated. The portions are massive and salad bar very well presented.And sure enough then there is proper German beer… joy!

We ordered the lamb shank and duck leg - they were delicious! Only thing is I wish they had the sauce on the side as it took up 90% of the plate. Very wide range menu. Free salad bar with any main is a great idea too :)

Overall, the experience was pleasant. Nice German experience in Auckland. Here are the cons and pros of my visit:The staff and owner were friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.We decided to try the fish of the day and rossito, both of which were cooked well and served in satisfying portions.The tiramisu was enjoyable, although I personally prefer it served differently than in a cup.The pear dish was decent, with a generous portion, but it was slightly overcooked and had jam added to it. I would have preferred the pear to be crystallized and accompanied by a berry sauce and quality wine.The ambiance of the space was warm and inviting, contributing to a pleasant dining experience

Highly recommend this German restaurant in the Aukland city at the Heritage Hotel. Great food, great service. Authentic German food in New Zealand!
