Te Awa River Trail
The Ngaruawahia to Te Rapa section of the ride is just brilliant. What an absolute pleasure to have this excellent long ride pathway available to us general public! My full praises to the people that built this and to those that made it happen in the first place!I stopped at the lovely picnic area on the Te Rapa end for a short break and counted around 50 cyclists in the time I was there. It's popular because its excellent!NOTE: While the path and scenery is excellent, toilet and water facilities are non-existent, CAUTION!

Great scenery lovely fresh air friendly people what's not to love about the WAIKATO River. Easy walking or cycling go at your own pace do by yourself or with family and friends awesome way to spend time outdoors.
