Auckland Fish Market
We drove down to the Fish Market today and had a very nice lunch. The day was gorgeous--warm and sunny. We ordered fish and chips, seafood Chowder, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Prawns with garlic sauce and Oysters on the half shell. We enjoyed all the dishes, especially the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The fish and chips was fresh and delicious. My brother thought the Chowder was a bit thin and runny, but tasted okay.Overall, we enjoyed the food and would be happy to visit again.

This is a must place to enjoy fresh seafood if you are in Auckland situated at the wharf. Besides the market at other food stalls. The food from Lobster and Tap was good. The lobster and prawns were fresh.

Beautiful area clean with tons of restaurants and bars right across from the water. The food inside the fish market is great and theres a common area to sit and listen to live music and eat. Theres also a big tv screen for UFC fights or any big live sporting events.

There was a long wait for all the food but it helped to pace the rate that the food was coming to our table. The live music definitely added to the ambience with the summer vibe.

Beautifully setting up makes a warm and nice dining atmosphere. The most impressed part is there are lots of facilities to settle little ones down and give parents a short time of break.

We visited on a Sunday. Parking was easy. The open square with live music had a great lazy Sunday Brunch vibe. There are further vendors in a covered market hall. We enjoyed the Market Galley produce , particularly the panfried snapper and barbecue prawns. The bar looked popular.

Spoilt for choice, from dumplings, lobster rolls and seafood platters to super fresh oysters and mussels. Cool atmosphere too. Loved the vibe... took photos half way through eating lol
