Wairere Heights Farm

We stayed just one night in the middle of the recent storms in Northland - the hostess could not have been more accommodating! An incredible view from the hot tub and a fantastic cooked breakfast. Highly recommend visit the farm. Not only it’s the most authentic Russian farm experience without leaving NZ, but also the food and the views are breathtaking! My kiwi husband and toddler loved exploring the farm, feeding chicken, collecting eggs. We also loved getting to know Irina and her mom. Will definitely be back for some more honey, mead and food that reminds of Russian childhood and I will bring my I laws as well to share the experience!

Great place, Grandma Nina's food is really delicious. Owner Nina is a nice person. There are many interesting places inside. Nice place for rest.Thank you for your hospitality

Amazing place for getting out of city life.Things that I loved:- Slavic homemade food. As I haven't been to my home country for a while, that was very nice to eat food that reminds me of home. Pies with eggs and spring onion, gulyash, pancakes and salads.- Honey-made products. Honey and mead taste very good.- Clean and cozy rooms. Feels cozy and clean.- Clean and new bathrooms.- Spa on top of the hill. Must try, especially in the evening as you will see the sunset. (take some cold drinks with you, as you will sit there for a long time)- Friendly and warm hosts. Irina and Nina are very welcoming and will try to accommodate all your needs.- Beautiful forest for a walk. (try to find all the hidden props such as ear)- Doggos. 3 dogs are very friendly but at night might not recognize you so they will start barking. But don't worry, they will recognize you in light.- Small sheep Olga. Very cute.- View from the 2 huts on top of the hill. Waking up and seeing the sunrise there is something you need to experienceSome things to note:- Bring your body wash, shampoo, bedclothes and towels. (hosts provide them for an extra charge)- Gravel road for a few km so make sure to use a proper car for that- No shops nearby.- No WiFi and the internet connection is quite looseThings to improve:- Drying rack near 2 huts on top of the hill as after the spa you want to put swimwear/towels to dry.- Maaaybe having Wifi. But maybe it is unnecessary as having no proper internet can be part of the farm experience.\- Have the instructions to the spa placed near the spa as we didn't know how to add more bubbles there.Final notes:From what I saw the experience is getting better and better with each month. The hosts are working hard to make it better so I might not recognize the place after a few months to visit next time.Thank you so much for such an amazing experience.With love,Egor

My hubby and I spend 4 full of magic days on the farm last week and still talking about it. Our 2 hostess were amazingly warm and welcoming. All the atmosphere on the farm is relaxing and inspiring in the same time. Home cooked by hostess crafty meals we had all-together with other guests and got to know each other pretty well. Irina, one of the hostess leads lovely tours around the farm showing the forest magic and their farm life. We will be back! Thank you, Irina and Nina, you are the best!

I absolutely loved everything about this place - the stunning natural surroundings, its location on a hill with a truly magical view, the welcoming owners, and the delicious food. There are also plenty of nearby attractions worth visiting. I highly recommend it and can't wait to come back myself!

Very beautiful and welcoming place to have a good rest and spend some time away from busy city. Amazing views, nature, food, spa at the top of the hill, comfortable and clean accommodation. There are many places near the farm to explore. I enjoyed every moment I spent there.
