Terrace Walk
Lovely little walk right out of town. Saw maybe one dim glowworm at the bench. But it is the end of the season and getting cold and fewer bugs to eat for them. Saw two possums on the night hike. One ran up within a foot of me... being blinded by my flashlight... and the quickly ran off into the trees after hearing my foot shift on the gravel. So much cuter than opossums of the US.

Terrace Walk
Short walk in Franz Josef area. Close to the town. Only a small section was open and the rest blocked post the earlier flood damage. Still a good walk in a rain forest like area.

Terrace Walk
A FREE experience just a short stroll from your accommodation. Walked to the end of the track and saw some glow worms there whilst sitting on the bench. Turn off your torch and let your eye adjust to see the little blue glow. On the way back we found an upturned tree that had heaps more and got an upclose view of them.

Terrace Walk
The terrace walk is a beautiful, eerie walk through some of New Zealand's most stunning cold climate rainforest. The walk only takes around 20 minutes; I fantastic little track for those who want to explore, but maybe don't like walking or hiking.Cool features include the glow worms which can be seen in the evening, especially under tree-stump about half way down the track.Also there is a stunning little stream at the end of the track with a seat to have a snack on and take in the stunning scenery.Don't forget to hit that like button so more people get to check out this review.

Motorhome parked at one end we walked back around to the motorhome. Interesting little church inside and outside .

Terrace Walk
Loved it! spent a good 30mins exploring the great track. Once it got dark hundreds of glow worms could be seen from the path. great activity for kids. wait until it's completely dark though

Terrace Walk
The terrace walk itself is only about 10 minutes in before it's roped off. We found remanents of a track and had to bushwack & climb up a waterfall (about 30 mins) before we could get back up to the main track to the bridge. Walked back along the river which was beautiful, but very hot on a sunny day

Terrace Walk
This walk is only 10 mins return. It doesn't connect to the further trail as it is closed off. Nonetheless a nice stroll and a good place to see glow-worms after dark.

Terrace Walk
Nice forrest walk. A lot of ferns and trees to take photos of. If you're lucky you can catch a look at some cool birds. Maybe don't walk with a paranoid friend who thinks something is behind you.
