Uretiti Beach DOC Campsite
Second time staying here, it's a beautiful spot. It's a Department of Conservation site and it's best to book and pay online before arriving. Last time I stayed here it was summer and the camp ground was packed, now in winter its practically empty, no one else on the beach but me. Basic facilities but clean and tidy (drop loos, water supply, rubbish, does have hot showers).

Uretiti Beach DOC Campsite
We truly enjoyed staying at this DOC campsite. Lots of private spots, many clean toilets plus cold free showers / coin operated hot showers, sinks, drinking water and trash bins. So close to the beach. You can hear the traffic but it didn't bother us. We will be back!

Uretiti Beach DOC Campsite
The first DOC campsite we've stayed in, really impressed with the campsite! Lovely grounds and a beautiful beach just a short walk away. The staff at the gate are very friendly and helpful, the toilet and shower facilities are clean and well maintained and there is recycling and rubbish disposal facilities too. The site also offers laundry services, this wasn't advertised so we went out to a nearby town to do our laundry before we arrived, it would have been nice to have known we could have done it on site.

I came and stayed with a friend last minute. Allowed us to stay anywhere we could find. Clean toilets and an awesome vibe. Beach access is super easy. Sorry I got my car stuck at tip road.

Camping here was nothing short of incredible. Beautiful scenery. The beaches were amazing. It was so good to get back to the natural world with this campsite. I had an awesome time here with my best friends and made some great memories. I'd have to say even the hours long drive to get here was worthwhile. :)

Uretiti Beach DOC Campsite
Excellent job to the folks looking after the campground, the area is immaculate and we had a very enjoyable stay over at your campsite, our 2weeks stay in various campgrounds and have both agreed that Uretiti DOC campgrounds was the most enjoyable, due to the fact that it is not overly crowded and that view is excellent, coupled with clean toilets and shower, makes you guys a clear winner for most enjoyable and beautiful campsite we've been.

Uretiti Beach DOC Campsite
We have stayed at this campsite for many years, but we're very disappointed with the attitude of the young French boy who was booking us in! Only after he had taken our money did he tell us that less than half the campsite was available due to flooding. It looked like you couldn't even walk to the beach. When asked for a refund he was just plainly rude and very smug!! Fantastic, didn't care attitude, sure he will be a great asset to DOC.
