Best hidden secret on the peninsula

Very sheltered, small, but very kid friendly beach that caters for the toddlers. This small stretch of sand receives heaps (HEAPS) of sun in the afternoon and into the evening, and is generally reasonably sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds that can whip up the harbour. (Of course, on the flip side of the coin, the beach does not receive anywhere near as much shelter if there's a north'easter blowing. Luckily, the predominant weather comes from the southwest).This is also a beaut little beach reserve to eat fish and chips and maybe quaff back a coldie or two, without going overboard.This is not a beach that receives any waves, so if you're hunting the surf, look elsewhere - perhaps head east and up and over towards the eastern side of the Otago peninsula.CheersTony
