Spice Heaven (now BargainMe Supermarket)

If are from overseas and miss typical food, this is the place to go. They have a variety of snacks, fruits, vegetables and products from some tropical countries like Philippines, Brazil and India. They sell cassava, which is very well used in the recipe of several dishes from those countries. The family who owns the business is very friendly and helpful.A big bonus is that they sell their products online and post them to all NZ cities.

I bought two tubs of Kashish Ghee from this store .. it is normally golden rich and delicious.. these two tubs were lemon in color and tasted horrible.. I phoned the manufacturer to see why and after doing a little reasearch asked me to send photo of the best before date .. turns out he had not sold his product to this store for quite sometime. He said the store had changed best before date . He would phone them and I was to take product back for a refund, when I did so store owner was very rude denied ever stocking the product .. very disappointing I will never shop there again .. kashish foods on the other hand are amazing to deal with.. jay Gibbs Christchurch
