Akbar Durbar Biryani House in Sandringham

Saw that the restaurant was empty yesterday in the afternoon and wanted to try something new. Went in and ordered their signature chicken biryani with carrot halwa the biryani was nice and moist unlike in some restaurants the biryani could be on the dry side the carrot halwa was very nice as well. Went in again today for their special Haleem as it was listed as their special and I had never had the Haleem before. The Haleem was so hearty tasting nice,hot and fresh and with the fried onions it made it better and I could taste all the meat and spices. Also had the carrot halwa again same exceptional experience. Definitely recommend this place and I will be coming again. Their Haleem special is to die for so warm and hearty a recommend dish. My Hyderabad taste has been fully completed at this restaurant. Five out of five.

So good! I ordered the lamb tika masala and paneer 65, the perfect combination they were so tasty together. I loved the texture of the paneer and the lamb was so tender. Will definitely be back for more.(note the rice was my own, these dishes don't include rice).

Glad to see it open in the neighborhood. Big fan of smoked chicken and Double ka meetha. Biryani is good too. The chicken Tikka piece is extremely spicy.

I was unsure if u should try this restaurant or the other 2 which are quite famous in the same lane. But I tried their haleem and my friend tried chicken biryani, it was really amazing. I loved the Haleem very much

One of the best biriyani in town. Tried Goat and chicken biryani so far and both were equally good.Limited seats so don't suggest for dine in, especially for larger group.

Not only did they surprise me with hidden charges, but their customer service was also disappointing. I left the restaurant feeling frustrated and genuinely disheartened.Firstly, the establishment failed to inform me about additional charges for the gravy that accompanies their biryani. It is common practice for restaurants to include condiments and accompaniments with their main dishes, such as biryani. However, to my surprise, I was billed separately for the gravy, which I was not informed about beforehand. This lack of transparency left a sour taste in my mouth and made me question the restaurant's integrity.Furthermore, the poor customer service I encountered added to my overall dissatisfaction. Instead of apologizing or attempting to rectify the situation when I raised my concern, the staff seemed indifferent and unresponsive. Their lack of attentiveness towards customers' needs and concerns was disheartening, to say the least. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially when a mistake has been made on the restaurant's part.Considering my experience at Akbar Darbar, I must admit that I will not be returning to this establishment. The combination of hidden charges and the lackluster customer service has left me with a negative impression. It is essential for any restaurant to be transparent about their pricing and to prioritize their customers' satisfaction. This is the first time I have been to this place as I was looking for a different place to eat biryani from. This review is only based on my order of a Family pack Lamb Biryani. The quantity and quality were amazing. The taste is typical Hyderabad style biryani. I have tried biryani from many other places and rate this high. Thank you

First of all I asked for Chicken Dum Biriyani, the lady on the counter said it will take 5 minutes. She went at the back and putting the biriyani into the microwave. It tasted like a Frozen Biriyani got heated up in the microwave. Anyways, when i started eating it and in first bite i realized its not chicken, its Lamb Biriyani.. wow.. Throw all the biriyani away in the bin now what a wastage of my money.. i would not recommend anyone to go there.

After bad experience of having biryani from paradise, one of my friends referred me this place.We bought Haleem and lamb biryani the taste was good.
