I would go for two stars for their friendliness.I would recommend here if you don’t mind such a lacking and poor communications which always made me call them first to figure out what’s going on for the job of diagnosis and replacing a faulty part, and $1,766 as the total cost for my Mazda which engine didn’t start due to the faulty part ‘steering lock control module’.

We've been to quite a lot of automotive shops in Hamilton over the years. By far, this is where my husband and I are most comfortable having our cars serviced and fixed for any issues. Not only are the staff very accommodating, the services are great and most importantly, we don't feel ripped off.

Unfortunately this service was by far the worst we have ever had in Hamilton.They are unable to communicate with one another, leading to the wrong information on countless occasions.Time management is also lacking -If they promise to call back, be prepared to never get that call & spend half your days calling them as nobody is ever upfront.It took 6 weeks to even have the start of the compliance checked - each time telling us it would be completed soon & then another excuse for a delay. .

Took my car here to get reregistered. It had just passed a wof 2 months prior and they made me have to get $3000 worth of “damages fixed.” When I got my car back after the inspection my window didn’t go down and have just had to pay $1k for a waterpump that they had must of missed because I have barely driven the car since that ordealI do believe the person who does the compliance inspections has nothing really to do with collins but still they need to get him checked or get him out

EDITED. I originally said..Their system is broken. They didn’t know what I wanted done to what vehicle. Their time management sucks! They tried to change me twice. Their whole system needs a revamp. And office staff need to be re-trained. I would definitely not recommend this business to anyone!"However

Would only recommend this company if you don’t need your vehicle repairs done in a hurry or if you have the time to call daily to get information. Horrific communication not only to customers, but between staff. We got so many different messages from different staff that never matched up. Absolutely frustrating process that took way longer than it should have.

I don’t have anything bad to say about the team here at Collins! I had a fair bit of work done to my car and it’s turned out exactly how I imagined. The service was quick and the communication was great. All the boys I spoke to were amazing and so friendly. Will definitely be coming here again. Cheers boys you did great!

I got to Collins at around 4:45pm and I asked them if they can help me with my cars registration light. Initially they told me they were closing soon and told me to come another day. However because I work at the hospital I could never finish early. Knowing my circumstances they helped me straight away and they didn’t even charge me at the end. I highly recommend this place to other users out there!

I have been into Collins twice for “DIY”advice which hardly anyone will offer these days. The first one was about an alternator, the technician knew I wasn’t going to purchase off him but printed all the specs and info for me to sort it. Recently I needed some special wire to fix a fuel sender and Ryan Bright at the front desk not only did research on options but ended up giving me the short piece of wire I needed! Most appreciated.

Great experience and great deal. Todd comes across as a mechanic who really wants to look after you. He was efficient and knowledgable, and didn't do anything to my car that it didn't need, saving my money. He saved me from spending $600+ with a previous mechanic who didn't know what he was doing. I'm usually only loyal to my wallet but I won't take chances with bad mechanics anymore, I'll stick with Automotive Technicians.
