Harrisons Solar - Auckland

I can't reiterate enough how great Guy Coleman and his install team were with our install of the new i-Vent Intelligent Ventilation system. Already seeing a huge difference a day after the install I can highly recommend this product and team for install. These guys were highly knowledgeable and customer service was excellent - the system was able to be fitted within the timeframe set out by Guy which is very rare with businesses being so busy at present. Next on the shopping list is the Solar Energy solution and the confidence I received from Guy and his team will ensure I go with these guys with the Solar install.

It's probably a waste of money investing in Solar in NZ. The savings or returns have never been any close to what the Sales person sold the product as. Secondly, my Fronius solar inverter doesn't seem to work as promised. The monthly bills only show few cents of electricity generated every month. I am very disappointed after spending thousands of dollars on 14 solar panels which virtually seems to be doing nothing.

We were keen to get Solar energy and contacted Harrisons for the project. Four things impressed us. First, Carl and Sian were very clear in explaining the various options, decoding all the jargon so we did not feel like numpties, clearing up any misconceptions we had. We felt entirely comfortable through the decision-making process, and were very happy moving forward. Second, the equipment we ended up with is elegant, robust, and frankly enhances the appearance of our house - in particular, the Tesla Powerwalls look better than any kitchenware we have. Third, the installation team was very precise and exacting, and every detail is completely perfect - we literally cannot find anything that is ill-fitting or jars. In addition, they were a polite and pleasant team to deal with over the day, and did a timely install despite winter weather and a challenging location. Fourth, Carl and Sian are a pleasure to deal with in terms of logistics and business matters, with clear and timely responses. We recommend this team +++

We obtained 3 quotes for our solar PV system. 2 quotes were based on satellite images of our property but Guy from Harrisons meet with us at our home for over an hour to understand what we required and then to explain what could be provided to achieve that and how the system works.Based on the quality of products offered, the best price quoted for like-for-like systems and the personal service, we accepted the quote from Harrisons. This wasn’t what we had expected as we had a particular architectural outcome that we were after and the look of the system showing off the green technology was very important to me. I thought Harrisons, as a large organization, wouldn’t stick it out with my fussy approach to the layout and looks. Happily they excelled far beyond what I expected to receive in every respect of service, communications, follow up, personal customer focus, and the end result and we have received a 10/10 outcome from start to finish. The installation team also was cheerful and helpful and we enjoyed having them work on the house.We now have a system with components warranted for 25 years and 15 years and are enjoying the savings and the green energy outcome.At the end of the installation I said to Guy that he had provided the best customer service that I can remember receiving from anyone or any company.

Guy Coleman and the Harrisons installation team did a great job in planning and installing our solar system. Guy especially was a great source of information and knowledge to make the processes easy to understand and evaluate the benefits of the system. Understandably the shorter days in winter will bring more experience, but we're very pleased that even with overcast and rainy days that we recently experienced the system generates enough to satisfy our power needs during the daylight hours!Going solar was the best decision we've made, and selecting Guy as our partner on this journey was also the right choice.

I found the guys at Harrisons Solar to be extremely helpful - they went above and beyond the call of duty and installed my system on time and exactly as quoted. My solar system is working well and I look forward to saving money on my next power bill!

We explored options available in market to go solar and met Guy Coleman. He was able to explain how this will work for us. He answered my 100 odd questions patiently and drafted a couple of options. He gave me time to decide (no pushing for an update etc.)Lockdown caused the project to take longer than expected but now that it's up and running we are super pleased.It works how Guy explained it to us. Plan he created for us fits perfectly with what our power consumption is. Our first power bill since going solar = $1.48 :-)Dealing with Guy was easy. This Review is for Harrisons Energy Solutions as they have now Changed their Name to Harrisons Solar:We had House Insulation for Our 4 Houses in Auckland in 2019 and Our Insulation was done by Dan (Ex Franchise of Harrisons):We had the Following Problems: 3 of our Houses, everything was Completed to our Satisfaction. But One of our House, the Job was Not Completed and we are Extremely Disappointed.When we Contacted Harrisons, they said that they are Not Going to Complete the Job as it was Not Written on the Quote.What we Don’t Understand: We had done 4 Quotes for the Same Job to do the Same Work and All the Quotes Looks Similar and the Job was done to our Satisfaction in 3 of our Houses But Why the 4th House was Not Completed???Extremely Dissatisfied Customer – Bad Customer Service – Does Not Rectify the Problem – We Don’t Trust Harrisons Solar

The team were very impressive and did a great job at my place, optimizing the panel layout on the day and adding one more for a nice 3x6 rectangle. Generation is going well, the system is generating about 2x to 3x what I'm using myself on a good day (which may depend on time of year etc - currently September) and usually covering my own usage even on a bad day (net). The graphs shown in the Fronius app are great, highly recommend that (requires a Fronius meter added in the switchboard). And thanks to Guy for good advice on the size of the system to install when I didn't really know much about it.
