Good experience - cheaper car - older model but comfortable and reliable.You do need to contact the company when you arrive at the airport so they can pick you up (we were a little confused here - thought they were going to meet us as they had our flight number). Aside from our own confusion, the service was great and we couldn't fault them. Would definitely use them again

Picked up a compact SUV from the Wellington location and dropped it off at the Auckland location 12 days later. Pickup and drop-off was smooth. The car was exactly as described and clean. Will rent from mode next time I’m in NZ.

Absolutely terrible experience, never booking through them again and would not recommend to anyone else either. Went to pick up my car at 9.30pm and car wasn't available, turns out they accidentally cancelled my booking thinking a different customer was me. Happened to be after hours so couldn't get through to anyone, taxi costs alone cost me over $200 which they refused to cover. Long story short, if you want reliable service DONT BOOK THROUGH MODE.

We used Mode to tour from Wellington to Auckland and couldn't be happier. Pickup at Wellington airport was quick and we were on the road in no time. Drop off in Auckland was simple. Cars were not new but clean and reliable. Highly recommend for price and service. Security deposit was returned on the same day as return.

Prompt and friendly reception staff. Efficient handling of our booking with clear instructions. Good value for money. Easy to deal with. Just be sure to take note of business hours or you could get caught out and miss your rental if you don't make arrangements for flights that fall outside these hours.

They are just amazing people, my flight was delayed considerably beyond the normal pickup time at Wellington Airport still they arranged the pickup. Getting in touch with them on phone is in easy steps. Once in contact everything went smooth. And Thanks Lee taking me to the airport with our rental car.

We hired the Toyota RAV4 which was a great car, very spacious with plenty of room for all 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children) to fit and all our luggage easily fit in the back. Great fuel economy. Not a single issue with the car for the entire 2 week hire.Pickup from Wellington airport was quick and Tim our driver got all our details and payment back at the office processed quickly and driving away in our hired car all within 15 mins of arriving at their office.Dropoff 2 weeks later was just as simple, although we had 3 cars in total all returned at 9am and all 3 car loads needing a shuttle to airport for 09.25 check in. The staff got straight to work checking cars and had a shuttle on way to airport within 10 mins of their arrival to work. Bond was released quickly also.I highly recommend mode rentals as they were an absolute pleasure to deal with and will be my first choice car rental company in the future.
