Cairnhill Health Centre

I'm sure that some of the healthcare professionals working here are great but there are so many improvements that could be implemented in this centre. First, the receptionist is outstandingly rude and dismissive of your concerns. She wouldn't let me speak and would constantly talk over me without considering my position. She was so loud and aggressive with her actions and words and seemed like she didn't want to do anything to help me. The receptionists just blatantly didn't give a damn. This could definitely improve as being nice and kind just isn't that hard, and receptionists are often the first people that patients interact with in a healthcare environment. Second, I hate to call out a singular person but Dr Xing Zhang is an interesting fellow. He called one of his registered patients and asked why they didn't come see him (when they were perfectly healthy)... Seems interesting. He also charges fees for particular people but not someone else although both individuals have undergone the same action (not calling anyone out here). The biggest change, however, that would improve the centre is to have a talk with the receptionist about her behaviour or to hire an additional receptionist because this was definitely an unpleasant experience. Also after analysing other reviews on here about the receptionists, it clearly isn't one person tired of this behaviour so please change this.

I just had a really bad experience talking with one of receptionists on the phone. I was asking if I could make an appointment to see doctor Zhang and she asked me if I had seen her before. I said no and she told me Dr Zhang was not taking any more new patients, so I asked if they had any other female doctors? Here was what she said IMPATIENTLY No. No others that can speak Madarin."I didn't ask for any other doctor who can speak Madarin!!! This is racism!!!"

I've had many GPs dismiss my needs, I have complex health needs. Finally I have found a great, warm and intelligent GP who listens and advocates, Dr March is wonderful. I've also seen 2 other female Dr's when I had emergencies who also took me seriously.

Been going here for my whole life along and never had any issues at all. Everything is perfect and time management is fine.

I never write google reviews because nothing bothers me but something made me particularly upset enough to take time out of the day to write one.I had called the other day in regards to an appointment. Receptionist, Chris(?) I believe was her name, was rude and dismissal of my worries and anxieties around my appointment. Read out my text message out loud over the phone and said there was nothing in the text message and mentioned there was nothing in the text saying that I should be worried, assuming that I was a liar. Ended the call just saying and abrupt thank you." Was pretty upset about this and expected better from someone that works in the health industry. Perhaps she was having a bad day."

Ive been coming here for 20 years. My current GP Steven Young is really good. Booking + waiting time + prices are all good. Online portal is easy to use. Suits me just fine.

Been going to Cairnhill for almost 20 years now. Very friendly and highly experienced doctors mostly with Dr Christine March. Very good long term care and lifestyle management. Recommended.

Dr Xing Zhang was so friendly and welcoming to me as a new patient. Since I moved away from my family doctor, I was nervous enrolling in a new practice, but Xing immediately put me at ease. He took the time to introduce himself and I especially appreciated how he really listened to me describe my concern, without interrupting or hurrying me along like unfortunately so many GPs out there can do.His consultation price is also very reasonable compared to a lot of other practices in the area. I would absolutely recommend seeing Dr Xing to anyone who is looking for a caring GP.

I have found Dr Lipyeat sensitive, caring and knowledgeable when dealing w my elderly mother who has dementia and a mentally unwell son.

I had a problem on my eyelids, a dermatite. Doctor Somerville is very good ! He knows your problem very quickly ! He gave me a prescription , a creme and a cream for clean up the face :) , it was working well, thank you ! He can speak , understand language french
