The cafe it self has really good character! Lots of little things to admire including a sliding bookcase to the bathrooms and an old sewing machine water fountain. Our drinks were below average. Both the smoothie and iced mocha were milky. The eggs benedict was good and well presented! The burger however was dry and the ratio of meat pattie was too much. They also only fit a few chips in the tube with the burger, you’re definitely paying the price of it being sent in the tube, rather than the quality of the food. Good to experience first time but I probably wouldn’t come back again. I would say its overpriced as well, Especially for the tube foods.

I was kinda disappointed, to be honest. The interior is really really nice tho.I was there with a group of 4 other people, each of us got a cake, they were OK.I got myself a cup of chai latte that tasted like warm milk. The one you can do yourself from a powder they sell in Countdown is much better to me.And then we wanted to try the pneumatic apparatus under the ceiling, so I ordered fries for 12 NZD. That were one of the worst fries I've ever had. There were like 3 normal fries and than about a thousand of those 1 cm long really hard leftovers.

Cool and calm atmosphere with a very cool old tube system. The menu states if food will be delivered by tube and understandably the less casual food comes by plate. I got the omelette and bread which was a good breaky. Everyone enjoyed their meals and is a good brunch place.

Always cosy and lively…and open! In a city where most places open late and close early, I’m grateful for this place which is open for a post-flight coffee. I came in for breakfast, grabbed a seat in the comfy leather benches and had a delicious and filling omelette with seeded bread. My loose leaf tea was beautiful and came in a cute matchbox containing 2 servings - one for now, one to take home. The table next door had a cute little kid, and I learned that their kids meals come through the pipes in the ceiling. So fun!

Great decor styling and overall vibe is pretty cool. Food was delish as well. Just wish I had ordered the curly fries so I could have seen them flying through the tubes on the ceiling!!

Fantastic food! Great options for those with dietary requirements. The banana bread was so good we went back a second day for it!

I gotta admit that I was apprehensive going to C1 after reading reviews of the service, but the lady who took my order was nothing but patient as she made recommendations when I asked for it. As written in many reviews, the food is sent to your nearest point of retrieval via the pneumatic tubes which runs through C1.In terms of the coffee, it was pleasant but wasn’t the best that I’d had. Strangely, it was more aromatic when it cooled down. The burger was satisfying, but again, nothing to write home about. But overall, the atmosphere was lovely

Love how quirky this place is. Loved the pneumatic tube delivery. The iced choc is amazing. Love the bookshelf door to the decorated toilet aisle and the harry potter audiobook while on the toilet. Great outing. Loved it
