C.V. Specialists

I had a top quality custom made race axle fabricated by these guys. They were great to deal with, we had to use email and phone calls but still ended up with a great result. They did try to fit me with all the bells and whistles that I felt I didn't need however as a business why wouldn't you? They happily removed them and adjusted the price. Cheers guys. Car runs beautifully.

Dropped in an a drive axle from a now rare car with a worn inner CV joint looked everywhere could not find a replacement, they advised me they they could rebuild it (yay) and advised that it would be a $65 inspection fee (very reasonable) tool them only a day to inspect it and they than quoted me on the workthat needed to be done and asked if I wanted them to go ahead, I advised that it is my friends car so I would have to check with them this was no problem, I got back them about a day later and asked them to go ahead, it only took them about a day to rebuild the whole axle and inner cv and the workmanship is excellent and price was exactly what was mentioned over the phone, thanks I will recommend you guys to anyone!

Absolutely amazing service from Brendan and his team. Constant communication, no hidden costs. Everything was stated in a clear and extremely reasonable invoice. The honesty with the team there is something to be commended. A mechanic found a 50 dollar note under my battery in my bonnet (strange right) but was informed straight away. Very trustworthy and straight forward service from Brendan, Matt and the rest of the team at C.V Specialists. Highly recommend

Brought my Ute in for new cvs, charged an arm and a leg while not having great customer service. Two weeks later the cv boot broke poor quality. While they fixed it then bent my brake cover. Definitely wouldn’t recommend these guys unless u want to get ripped off.

READ THIS REVIEW IF UNSURE...My bill was $2800. They were recommended to me by my local shop. I came to CHCH to get my Xtrail wobble fixed. Local shop said to have them repair the CV axle. I was expecting to pay around $500 for that. Turned out that the problem was more INVOLVED, and they called me to say I needed a rack rebuild and 2 new axles, alignment and some other small things... THE CAR DRIVES BRAND NEW NOW. I read the negative reviews and was scared I was going to be ripped off. I understand now with the car back driving like new that you have to put money into your vehicle to keep it driving like the day it was new, or just don't repair it at all and take a gamble on another used car. Or buy a brand new car if you can, but that will break one day as well....

These guys are awesome! I needed repairs to a leaky power steering hose.After getting some pretty high quotes and others who wouldn't even give me a rough estimate, and generally had to wait 2 weeks to be seen,these guys booked me in the next day and gave me some fair estimates.When I turned up, they were finishing it off and ended up having some mint yarns with their team while I waited.Even though the job became a mare for them (I'm sure others would use stronger words), they still honored the estimate.Will definitely be coming back next time I need a wof or anything else, would strongly recommend!
