Best prices that I've seen in a while

Basically the only scoop ice cream in miles! The woman at the counter was very helpful. Sells most things that residents need. Definitely recomend. Only downside is that there is a massive space and its not that welcoming.

Service is good but some of the food prices are a little on the dear side

There are two businesses under this one trading name that are next door to each other. The grocery and general store has very little stock and a very limited range of items to purchase. I didn't look at the prices but I suspect that they are high. The staff member who was serving customers was very sullen. The whole store was unwelcoming and had an air of decay. Next door in the bakery things were completely different. It was bright and brash, the staff were friendly and welcoming and eager to serve. There is an excellent range of baked goods and the pie and coffee that I purchased were tasty and hot. On a second visit I would skip the general store but I would be happy to return to the bakery.

Dishonest lady charging way more than a normal price if you're not careful !

Very expensive, $4 a 1.5lrt water normally $1 main supermarkets. Do your shopping before you some to this store.

Passed through Kawhia after 3 days of hiking the west coast. This being a general store with a bakery was the only resupply point. As a hiker, it has everything you could need or want. At 7.30am the pies were freshly baked and outstanding. Warm and friendly vibe from the family run place.

Amazing food. I bought way too much and couldn’t eat everything. Fabulous coffee. Fresh as creamed lamington and the pies were exceptional. Worth the visit to Kawhia.

Nice little spot for a coffee and great selection of rolls and cakes. The chicken sweet chilli roll was so good
