Castlepoint Holiday Park & Motels

Warm and cozy motel unit. Clean and comfortable. The bed was new as well. Was nice going to sleep listening to the surf racing up the beach across the road. Loved the lit up lighthouse at night.

We arrived without a reservation but Megan gave us the best motel room yet on our 2 week holiday. It was the last room available in this area. We could not imagine not getting a room in this very special gem in New Zealand. The funny thing is, you can not get an evening meal as the local takeaway/store because they have no volume to cope with that, so we bought a frozen dinner out of their freezer and it was the cheapest and most enjoyable dinner on our holiday yet. It's all about the people and place.Perfect, everything you need including a washing machine. 8 hours uninterrupted sleep...at last.

Great caravan park. Stayed twice as a solo, female camper. Felt safe and looked after by the park managers. Windy - but that's Castlepoint. They have a great set up to help with wind however. Bathrooms are clean and tidy. Easy walk to the lighthouse and small store in town. Definitely recommend!!

Great little campsite. I received a very welcoming and friendly reception. All amenities were clean. I particularly appreciated the lounge area next to the kitchen, having travelled there in a small campervan

This is a great place with alot of New Zealand history. The people were friendly. The views are amazing. Will be back

Loved it as always. Highly recommend staying here. Even if it is a bit wet and windy some days, it is worth it for the view and the stunning days in between. The sites and facilities are always kept clean and tidy and everyone there is so friendly. The addition of on site food trucks this year was a huge bonus! We look forward to doing it all again next year!

I've been road tripping across the north island in my van for about 2 months now, and this is one of, if not the best, places I've stayed! The lady at reception was so friendly and helpful, and when I checked out she also let me go help feed her lambs!The place was great, clean and well maintained, felt great to have a nice hot shower! (50¢ for 5 mins) Right on the beach, close to the shop (with good takeaway!) And you could see the lighthouse from the beach!
