Victoria is not only lovely but incredibly knowledgeable, and I have complete confidence in her skills. I got the best compliments ever from my friends. I had had a few previous hair cuts here, the two most recent with Viktoria. The second to last cut was really good, but the final cut I am still having to deal with the issues from it 6 months on. My hair was not cut straight (from a length perspective), and a very obvious almost two tier layer was cut into my hair, that wasn't requested and which I didn't already have styled into my hair. Unfortunately I couldn't see either at the time due to how my hair had been blow dried. I have very straight hair so the effects were very obvious, the cut left me with two levels of hair the shorter of which I am still trying to grow out/blend in, and I had to get a fix it cut shortly after to get my hair evenly cut and try to blend the layers in a bit more. Full transparency I didn't give the opportunity to the salon to fix the issues, but by that point I didn't trust my hair there anymore.

I was very happy with the results from my first balayage with Rachel but when I went back to get a retouch after 9 months I was left quite disappointed with the results. The color looked very similar to how it looked before I got the retouch. I am a natural brunette so my hair turns to shades of orange and yellow with time and this is how it continued to look right after the retouch. With my 1st balayage with Rachel (and my second in my lifetime) she achieved an amazing ashy color so I had the same expectations for this time around but it was very sad to see my hair still looked very orange/yellow after spending $451. I honestly do not think I’ll come back after this experience.

Loved this salon. Rachel did a great job of my colour, and couldn't be happier with the cut from Victoria. Both were super friendly too. One of the best salon experiences I have had in years! Thank you!

Rachel gave me the worst haircut I have ever had and did not listen to what I wanted. I asked for the last inch to be taken off my medium length hairstyle so it didn’t flick up when it hit my shoulders and for it to be kept collarbone length. I specifically said I did not want a bob shape. Rachel cut my hair into a bob shape resting just below my chin. The cut is so short I can no longer tie it up which Rachel said I would be able too.I would not recommend this hairstylist as she didn’t listen and did what she wanted not what I asked for.

I booked here last minute from out of town. I chose Thao, we briefly consulted and I had some photos to show, the cut I wanted was a change definitely not just a trim. Thao did a very nice service, from the wash bowl to the styling. She heard all of my input and we got a great result I was extremely happy with. I bought two products (I had to inquire about - she did not ‘sell’ me) that are amazing for my fine hair. I recreated the style at home with nearly the same result (given that I am traveling, using a hotel hair dryer and using a one sided vent brush with Zero hair skills - I was very pleased!).Thao is a top notch stylist. On par with my expectation coming from Los Angeles. I would consider coming back on weekend trips from Auckland just to visit Thao at Badaro and do a little Wellington thrift shopping and coffee.
