The staff are unbelievably nice! the food is top-notch! This is my go to restaurant for any occasion (favourite.) Every time I have been, its been nothing but good! I cannot even think of feedback nor things they could do better. Highly recommended!!!

We were delighted to find this warm and welcoming Trattoria on yet another cold and wet winters night. Prices have gone skywards at a lot of restaurants lately but Piatti offers down to earth quality service and authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices. Their wine list is compact and thoughtful including an excellent range of Italian Reds in particular, with BYO allowed. They are proud of their in house made bread and pasta as they should be and their Limoncello cheesecake, if not literally to die for, is at least worth ensuring there is a hole in your stomach to finish off the meal. If this restaurant was a local we would go every week, so certainly looking forward to next time.

Wow! We knew it would be excellent food, but this was next level. The staff were not only extremely friendly and attentive but read the group so well that even the kids were kept happy.Large groups are not always easy but we all left very full and very happy.Could not recommend more!

An authentic, homely, delicious experience. It's actually very difficult to find great authentic Italian in Auckland especially on the shore, and I'm so happy that my wife took me to Piatti for my birthday! The home made pasta was divine and fresh and the portions generous. We loved the warm service!

Our first dinner at NZ at a really cosy restaurant!The food was excellent! The toddlers enjoyed the pasta and the excellent service by the staff just makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. They had kids drawing sets for the toddlers to scribble while waiting for the food.Thank you for the wonderful first dinner in NZ!

We've just moved back into the area after living elsewhere on the Shore for 15 years - first meal out after moving in.The food was sensational and the experience a cosy and friendly revelation.I have a new favourite restaurant and it's only 5 minutes walk away!(I had the seafood dish and tasted the chicken risotto. Although I'm sure the other dishes are just as good, I think that it will be awhile before I can bring myself to experiment beyond those two dishes, if it means foregoing one of them!

Most of the food was well prepared and tasty. Portions were small and prices were quite high. We shared a delicious calamari starter for $20 and got 6 or 7 calamari rings (see pic) The biggest let down was the surf and turf main course which read well on the menu but was disappointing when delivered. The steak on the skewer was probably about 70g at most, and was overdone and tasted sour - and was probably over aged. This was accompanied by 6 small prawns and some really good chips and salad. The pasta was good and a more generous portion. Overall, it is not a venue I will be rushing to go back to for anything other than a pasta dish.
