Remuera Motor Lodge

Needs a face-lift. Dirty and not pleasant. Didn't like the way we were treat. Got told we shouldn't be on the pitch we were on and asked if we had paid. The cheek of it. Would not recommend.

Disappointing, There is NO WIFI in most of the park except main office (and you have to pay). Has a run down look and could really do with some maintenance.

Lovely new owners and they are doing a lot of work and renovations to get the place up to scratch again! Can’t wait to see the end result!

Extremely disappointed.. We stayed last night. very dirty place, I don’t think they clean as well. They showed in pictures aircon heater but there was no heater. Plus stove is dirty. This place is not healthy for couples or family pls save your money …pls don’t book this place ever in life…

Miserable. Poorly equipped; Two breakfast bowls for 5 beds, no knives. 2 bedroom layout is bizarre, on bed in the kitchen and everything else in the living area. Not clean, and staff dismissive. Would not recommend

This facility has a new owner and is called Touchwood now. The prices for a powered site for two people have increased by 40% and costs $70 instead of $50.Even $50 would have been expensive for the site since the facilities are extremely old and dilapidated. We ended up showering in the camper because the bathroom was so gross. The Wi-Fi was basically nonexistent. Getting to the dump site was difficult because residents with permanent campers parked near the area making entry extremely difficult. Hind site being 20/20, we would have enjoyed a night in a parking lot better.

If you are in a van it's a great place to stay.It's quiet and residents are lovely and polite.A little kitchen and tv room, old decoration but i personally absolutely don't care because like the shower and toilets it's really clean and well maintained.You have a hairdryer, laundry at 3$.For a van powered site at 50$ and unpowered 25$. Indeed the asian lady doesn't have the best english but if you are patient it's all good and if it's too complicated you can send an email they answer fast. I have find the asian lady and all the other staff really lovely to me.

Drove 7 metre long van to Remuera Motor Lodge from the airport during peak time traffic.Take care entering the street and the entrance. It is narrow with residential cars parked. Also going down to the camping entrance, area is tight steep and narrow almost one way like down to the site.Parked up easily after 6pm to powered site. Area is dark at night but safe and clean. Toilets clean, showers hot and are curtain closing. Washing machine and sinks available. Kitchen and picnic table outside.Leafy and green surroundings. Short but steep walk up to shops and bars.

We stayed here 20 years ago and enjoyed it then. Unfortunately we were let down by what it has become. Dont think there has been any cleaning or maintenance done in 20 years. Our we cabin was so dirty and had the worst odour. There was a tampon on the floor and spiders living inside. Kitchen was disgusting including the fridge. Rubbish bins outside smelt like they had been there for years. Toilets and showers looked like they never get clean and there were holes in the shower walls. Overall the place is falling apart and the owners dont seem to care. Very disappointed and wont be going back.

This place is not good!! We are so unhappy with our stay.We booked a cabin for two nights. Upon opening the cabin it smelled strongly of dampness and mould. The wooden table and chairs also had black mould on them. Mattress was damp. Walls were disgusting with mosquito splats, hand/foot prints, and unknown fluids scattered all around. There was rubbish on the floor and we found cockroaches and slugs shortly after arriving. so it was obviously not cleaned just (hopefully) had fresh sheets.I asked for another room but none available - so fair enough. So we put up with the room, but we all woke up feeling very sick with sore throats and heavy breathing from the mould. We felt better after getting fresh air. I paid for our visit, but in hindsight should have questioned it as we feel scammed of $170 for what was a pretty bad experience. I kindly let the receptionist know how our visit was when leaving, and she didn’t apologise, just said she would tell the manager. Pretty dismissive and did not care.Really unimpressed with this place and would not recommend staying here unless changes are made to improve. The pool was the only good thing about our stay! Not worth it.
