Great swing at Mosquito Point in Wanganui, New Zealand. The swing has recently been re constructed. You can jump from the swing into the water if it's high tide, but it's nice that you don't have to especially in colder weather.

I've lived in Whanganui for two years but this was my first visit to Mosquito Point. It's not much, just some shady trees, lawn and a great sand access point to the Whanganui River. Perfect place to swim on a good day. I swam to the opposite bank and back and loved it. Cool and calm ☺️

Great out of the way place to take the kids, a big swing that swings out over the river, a few picnic tables for lunch. Good clean, free fun.

Really a good place. The fourteen year old granddaughter and her friend loved the swimming and the well appointed swing but we're discusted to find the swing gone. Is it going to be reinstated?

So warm and calm tonight. Had to go for a swim! Also awesome to see the cycleway progress and the gorgeous new bridge work!!

It's a nice an quiet place to either go swimming or just somewhere to sit in your car to relax for a little bit
