LOCO Journeys

We have recently returned from our New Zealand holiday which included travelling on the Northern Explorer, Interislander ferry, Coastal Pacific and Tranz Alpine trains organised by Kylie of Loco Journeys.The train and ferry travel worked perfectly especially as I'd had a fall and was on crutches, all staff were very helpful. Our hotels were the excellent MSOCIAL in Auckland where I unfortunately had the fall ,(entirely my fault) The young staff gave immediate first aid and called the paramedics . On my return from hospital they continued to monitor our needs and provided ice packs. It also had an excellent restaurant.The Ridges hotel in Wellington was also good with a nice restaurant.We decided to change our final hotel which was in Christchurch to be closer to the airport. Kylie understood our reason for this and happily booked us into the excellent Commodore Hotel. When we checked in, the receptionist noticed my crutch and gave us a ground floor room which had abathroom with disabled facilities. Again the restaurant and staff were very good.We cant fault Kylie , she arranged everything we wanted for the train part of our holiday. It was also very helpful to talk to her via WhatsApp as we live in the UK.We recommend booking with Loco Journeys, you won't be disappointed. And a very big thank you to Kylie.

[Posting on behalf of a customer who does not have a Google account];We have dealt with Kylie Burnell from LOCO Journeys over the last 2 years which, I must say, owing to COVID has been a very trying and difficult time for all of us world wide.We tried to book on the Trans Alpine train Christchurch to Greymouth return last year for a family experience, but New Zealand rail cancelled the departures.We have come back to Kylie again this year wanting to book for our family of 17 in the July school holidays. No easy task for Kylie as with 9 grandchildren, some at University and most at primary school, plus adults working business schedules etc, I think I just about drove her crazy.However, I have never met a more accommodating, patient and lovely tour operator. Kylie has been totally outstanding and understanding in all ways.Finally after many changes from us, she has patiently re-booked again and again and now we are bound for Greymouth for a wonderful family trip in July.Many thanks to you Kylie at LOCO Journeys.You are a star ⭐️Jan Ford and Family

Kylie went above and beyond when booking our Trans-Alpine trip from Greymouth to Christchurch (in Scenic Plus which was wonderful). She provided a fantastic service and we would highly recommend her.

We had a wonderful trip to New Zealand thanks to Kylie at LOCO Journeys. It was our first time in NZ so we needed someone who knew the place. Kylie was fantastic, so helpful and responsive. Can't wait to use her again when we next visit!

We recently had a superb time in the South Island. It was all arranged by Kylie and went really well. She arranged the motels/ hotels all the trips and train rides. It was so good to be able to speak to her on the telephone even with the 13 hour time difference. She couldn’t have done any more to help and make our trip a holiday of a lifetime. I’m delighted to strongly recommend Kylie and locojourneys for arranging travel in New Zealand. We arrived for 3 weeks in early April, planning to make our own reservations as we went along, but quickly learned many modes of transportation were very limited or unavailable. A friend recommended Kylie and she was enormously helpful. She put an itinerary together promptly with several options. I found her to be very responsive as questions occasionally arose. We were very favorably impressed and would advocate for her services to anyone seeking assistance for touring in NZ.

Although our trip was cut short due to going into level 4 the day after we started the tour the service we received from Kylie at Loco Journeys was excellent.We were late signing up for the tour but Kylie was more than helpful organising everything for us.

I thought I had a fair idea of what I wanted, then with Kylie's help I understood the breadth of options available and not just in NZ! She helped me pick what worked for the time I had and did the heavy lifting to get it sorted. We had a fabulous trip and will be back for more!

I celebrated my 80th birthday on the Trans Alpine train which runs between Christchurch and Greymouth return. There were 18 of us ranging in age between 15 and 83 and we had a marvelous time; the scenery is magnificent and the train is comfortable and the ride mainly smooth.All our bookings were handled by Kylie Burnett of 'Hello Loco Journeys' and she was most helpful, making a number of changes for us always cheerfully and promptly. A friend and I had a holiday travelling by train around both the North and South Islands of New Zealand during lockdown. It was all organized by Loco Jouneys. Every little detail happened as planned by Kylie. She was also most helpful if we needed to alter any of the arrangements..
