On the hunt Charters - Waiheke Island

We had a fantastic time out on Leon's well equipped and comfortable boat for an afternoon fish. Great communication so we were able to reschedule as the weather was not good on the day we booked. Got plenty of fish to take home and were entertained with the dolphins swimming next to the boat and a whale was feeding in the distance. Would definitely recommend On the Hunt Charters.

Have had 2 wonderful 1/2 day charters with Leon in the last 6 months, once in January when we were targeting kingfish and snapper, and the other time in April when it was mainly snapper. We had kids c 9yrs old with us both times, and they loved it as much as we did, because there was always something going on, whether it was pulling up lots of bait fish early on in the trip, watching the adults trawl for kingfish with Leon commentating on what he was seeing on the fish finder, or catching snapper themselves. Leon has a great boat, the gear is top notch, he’s full of chat and he does an amazing job filleting the fish for you at the end of the charter. Book a charter now!

We had an amazing family experience with Leon on a half day trip. After a slow start, Leon went all over the Hauraki golf to make sure we found a boil up" to catch some great snapper. We were out an extra hour at no extra charge. Awesome boat

Amazing day on the water hosted by such a down to earth and friendly guy. Leon knew the water and was able to put us on to an amazing day of fish in what was otherwise quite quiet for other boats. Leon’s knowledge and seamanship was evident. Will definitely be booking again when we can!

A great morning's fishing with Leon who is very knowledgeable of the area and knows where to go. It's a slick operation and we got our target fish nailed. This was a fantastic half day out and highly recommended.

Had an awesome day out with Leon. He put us on some hungry schnapper very quickly. We saw some beautiful scenery of Waiheke Island as well. Leon was thorough in working with us on some different and new fishing styles and techniques for us. We had some very exciting moments on the way back when we encountered a large flock of Gannets having a good feed. We dropped some light lines with lures in and I was fortunate enough to crack onto a PB Schnapper. All in all a great day out. Thanks Leon! Kaelene and David :)

Leon took myself and 8yo son out and it was an incredible experience. Leon was really helpful and provided constant assistance and advice. We caught some great fish and had a fantastic afternoon. Both Leon and Adelaide helped make the charter an experience that we'll always remember.

We shouted our boys an afternoon fish with Leon at On The Hunt Charters and they all had a fantastic time. Leon was great, so knowledgeable and took the boys straight to where the fish were biting. He made sure everyone had the right bait everybody caught a decent fish - the boys were all stoked! Money well spent... will 100% go again. We thoroughly recommend Leon and the team at On the Hunt

Leon took us out for an awesome trip, easy meeting at the wharf in the morning, fishing tackle top notch, we caught kingis and snapper, fillets were bagged and ready to cook! Highly recommended, will be back many thanks
