Whanganui River TOP 10 Holiday Park

Lovely area, beautiful grounds. Swimming pool was very popular & the 3 play grounds were fantastic. Loads of people but didn't feel crowded. Very nice bike ride into tow. Kitchen & bathroom facilities were spotless. Staff were incredibly friendly and easy to approach.

Fantastic place to stay. Staff were kind and accommodating and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The pool was beautiful, clean and warm. The showers are also amazingly clean with unlimited hot water and excellent pressure. The kitchen is well appointed and there is a grill plate barbecue on the deck which was also very clean. On the deck there is a fireplace which we lit and had a nice night with others from the campsite. The staff ensured the wood box was kept full and the hospitality they extended to us was endless. We would certainly stay there again and everyone else should too. Cheers

Great family accomadation for vacation.Activities for the whole family. A good size pool, & kiddies pool on site. Beautiful self contained Units which we book.Staff are pleasantly welcoming.Great Location near the Whanganui River.We always Book annually in January. Been going there for 10 yrs now.

Not really a superior grade park in my view. There are numerous tired and dated items around the site that need some TLC to be called a superior park. Some may pose a health and/or safety risk. Overlook these, and it’s an okay stay but for the price not really value for money.

The cabin we stayed in had a lot of white hair on the sheets, had no soundproofing at all and was missing a blind over the glass door. While the view of the river from the cabin was good it was overall not worth the price.

This place is horrible and gives top 10 caravan parks a bad name or image. All around New Zealand staying at top 10 parks I have always had a pleasant stay and happy with the service. This place was rude arrogant and not nice people also the room facilitieswere broken when asking to have refund or some sort of apologies about the unpleasant stay the staff were absolutely rude people. Do not stay here and I thinktheyshould not be allowed to come under top 10 parks.

Small compared to other park. the site were a bit cramped up. But the room my friends were in was good value and spacious. Bit out of town if walking. but overall nice to revisit.

This is our second time visiting the park. The service in general and facilities were good. The following review is out of the park's control, but should be considered if you are after peace and quiet. We camped on the river side, which was unknowingly across the local spinny spinny burnouts intersection. This usually starts between midnight and 02h00 in the mornings. It's an utter irritation to be woken up EVERY night by this nonsense!

We went on holiday in a Camper van stayed on a powered site and it was awesome. The toilets and showers were one of the best I've used. Plenty of things for the kids, A pool area, games room, bouncy thing for kids. We stayed 1 night left and came back after being in Kawhia camping grounds. I would recommend putting Whanganui top 10 as a place to stay more then 1 night.
