I had just arrived in Tāupo in the evening, coming from Rotorua, tired after a long day, and hungry after not having had time to eat all dayI hence had to make a good choice for my dinnerI saw that restaurant when passing by, it caught my attention, I checked its reviews and was confident about it...Knowing how Indian food can be spicy, I asked them if they had non spicy options. I was recommended mild butter chicken, and so I went for it... good move! It was yummy, came with raisin (dried fruits) too, nice surpriseAs a side I had garlic cheese naan, there was a lotAnd as a drink I asked for another Indian classic, mango lassiI fell well full after this (and remember I hadn't eaten all day), with yummy food (and having lived in India for 5 months I had expectations)Oh and staff members are well friendly, we talked about my time in India, cool peopleComfy seatsAnd some Indian paintings on the wallsDefinitely recommended

Beautiful food, ambience great, staff very friendly and informative. Indoor/Outdoor eating. Vegan/Vegetarian options available. It's clean and moderately priced.

We have had takeaway from Taupo Indian Cuisine a couple of times now, they are located out in the suburbs so are very convenient.They have a great range on their menu and I feel are very reasonably priced.I have been very happy with the meals that we have had from here and we are thinking we should dine in next time.

Amazing food while on holiday was unsure what to get for dinner so we decided we felt like Indian cuisine so this was the nearest to our accomodation. Glad we did as the food was so yummy will defiantly be back again when we return.

Friday I ordered onion bhaji that was tasty no issues with it. The plum sauce was watery and the Goan fish was too spicy I asked for mild and did not get that I was disappointed.Not sure if I be back

Food was exceptional, very tasty! The service was great, friendly server. Only downside was that the restaurant felt cold to dine in.
