Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier

Had a good stay at the hotel. Customer service was excellent. Enjoyed Krystahl’s humour and repartee in the dining room. Other staff were also attentive, supportive, and always willing to help. The room we had was comfortable with all necessities supplied except for the big dips on each side of the mattress, fridge was noisy and the toilet cistern had a continuous small amount of water running from it which I am sure you will fix! Thanks for good and restful accommodation. We enjoyed our stay.

Rooms were very small, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Shower is tiny. Rooms were in rough shape, with broken window latches, chipping paint, etc.

Most amazing place to stay. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, great food.... we will be back!

My wife and I stayed at this neat hotel for three nights back in August last year. What an experience we had, and the service here was great.The room was nice but we did have a drainage problem on day 1 so a staff member moved us into the next room and we were fine for the rest of the trip. There was a lovely view of the town and the mountains where Franz Josef Glacier was covered in snow.Service by all staff members was excellent and we had a great breakfast on all three occasions. My only negative aspect was the dinner menu, which charged a lot and they did not have many vegetarian options. However, not a big deal as it gave us a chance to see the town and explore other dinner options.Overall, I would highly recommend Scenic Hotel Franz Josef as it is comfortable, provides great service and is in a quiet and remote area. We will definitely stay again if we were to visit a second time.

Very near to Franz Josef town center. Our room had a view of the ice-capped mountain ranges.the bed is comfortable and ample parking in hotel. The hotel was not busy but the staff was inflexible about extending check out time by 30 minutes.

Room was pretty good, amenities were ok. Buffet breakfast was very average with cheaper items on offer. Didn't help we had breakfast with 5 bus loads of people. Bed was saggy and terrible. Rolled out to the edge either side of the bed. Very lumpy pillows and beds. My husband who likes soft beds said it was awful.

Well it was okay. Room very compact. Although v clean, modern and well appointed. View of an unweeded garden and an entire block of uncleaned accommodation. Internet issues most of the day. Did not eat there as read reviews. We got sucked in by the photos on website. It's overpriced for what it is. There is off street parking and the staff are pleasant.

I often stay in hotel accommodation, and I would rate Scenic Franz Josef as the best experience and equal to none. The experience is always about the staff, and they were absolutely faultless. Staff couldn't be more cooperative, and nothing was a problem. A special mention to Joy, who went above and beyond to make our event went so smoothly.

Poor rooms especiallythe bathroom anyone more then 5'6 would struggleto use the shower. 6 Jacuzzis none of which worked
