Waiheke Wine Tours Ltd

We had so much fun on our wine tasting! Sharon was super helpful putting together our wine tasting on New Year’s day! It was super memorable and a great way to bring in the New Year! We especially loved Casita Miro winery. Our driver Jana was a great tour guide!

We heard of Waiheke Wine Tours on Tripadvisor and booked a wine tasting tour through them. Right from the beginning,communication from the company was immediate and prompt which we appreciated. A day before our tour, our guide for the tour Mr David Morris messaged us which reassured us. We reached Waiheke early to escape the 10 am ferry rush and also have a look at the village. David was very kind to pick us up from the Ferry Terminal and drop us at the village when he heard of it. We had a lovely time at the village. Thereafter, we left on our scheduled wine tasting tour. We started with Mudbrick for wine tasting. Walking through rosemary shrubs on either side of the walkway, olive trees above tables - we fell in love with Waiheke. We enjoyed the wine tasting at Mudbrick. We thereafter visited Obsidian and Cable. We had a sumptuous lunch at Batch. The food was delicious and the views fabulous. But what made our visit more special was David. He is passionate about Waiheke and New Zealand. He shared history, and information about the island. He showed us around the island beyond the wineries, which we may have otherwise missed if we had visited on our own - astoundingly beautiful views of the sea, bay, the town, a plane making a landing, sculptures, flora and fauna of the island, sharing about Maori, assisting us take family pictures. We think it was his warmth and knowledge which added to the tour and made it a memorable experience for us. And the cherry on the top was that an illustrator Toby Morris whom we admired for his story on privilege, titled ‘On a plate’ ,turned out to be David’s nephew ! It’s a small world indeed!

Just had a wonderful day touring Waiheke and having wine tastings. Caleb was just lovely. He was so knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the afternoon with learning about the island. I would absolutely recommend this tour company. If you could get Caleb as your guide you would be so lucky.

What a day we had here with our driver Kevin, who was so easy to get along with and he was'nt reading off a script. He really took care of us from the time he picked us up. We had great wine great food and it was the best weather they had in about 3 weeks we also had some specttacular views alo g the way and even bad time for a dip. We had a combination of wine beer and whiskey tastimgs throughout the day and a great day was had by all. Go on try it yourself.

We were recommended this tour by Lou from Rotorua Nz and we were so glad we took her recommendation. We had a lovely day and Zoltan our tour guide was informative and entertaining. he was a great driver as well as your guide. The tour was well organised and the wineries were superb. Well worth doing this tour if you’re in Auckland as not only is the island beautiful but there is great wines and produce .I am a travel agent and loved this tour !

Sharon was lovely! She made our trip over to the island very worthwhile. She was personable and also knowledgable- so nice to have both for our winery bus tour. It was my birthday and she helped make it such a fun trip! Would definitely recommend :)

Perfect day. Three spectacular wineries (Miro, Batch and Mudbrick) each with its own philosophy and personality. Lunch at Batch was very good and we almost pushed our trip to try what looked like amazing food at Mudbrick. The logistics ran like clockwork and our driver Caleb gave local insights as we made our way between wineries that made for a tour within a tour. Couldn’t recommend it more.

We had a wonderful day with our driver and guide, Caleb. We coordinated with Sharon for a lovely afternoon wine tasting followed by dinner to celebrate a special occasion. The tastings were enjoyable and we got a nice tour of the island as well. Dinner at Mudbrick winery was excellent. I can’t say enough nice things about our driver Caleb who facilitated everything and made sure we felt welcome and at home on Waiheke island. It was a special and memorable day.

Caleb was amazing. So much fun and very informative. The tour was well organized and well run. Great views from all the wineries. The meal at The batch was incredible. I really enjoyed this tour. The instructions were clear, and the guide called to make sure I was on the right ferry to the island. Our tour guide, Karen, was knowledgeable and friendly. Each of the three wineries was carefully selected, and the lunch stop was fantastic. And Karen was able to accommodate an olive oil tasting for our group!! She called ahead to see if they had availability and booked a spot of us. Thank you so much, Karen! Overall it was a fun experience and I'd recommend it.
