Costco
We had a bad shopping experience, which was particularly disappointing as it was our first time visiting. We had to wait in line for 30 minutes to get a membership card, only to find out that the printer was broken. The security personnel had nothing to say about the situation, but a staff member named Kath provided terrible customer service. What made matters worse was that we had two young children with us who had to wait an additional 30 minutes after standing in line. We noticed that those who arrived before and after us managed to obtain their membership cards, while we were still waiting. When my husband approached Kath and expressed his frustration, she blamed us for arriving later and instead of apologizing, she spoke to us rudely. Even the people around us noticed how poorly Kath handled the situation. As a business owner myself, I fail to understand why such a staff member like Kath would be employed. It wouldn't have been an issue if she had simply refrained from blaming the customers. I observed how well she treated the people in front of and behind us. This kind of service is unacceptable. Thank you

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I recently visited Costco in Auckland and once again, it proved to be a fantastic shopping destination. The store offers a wide range of products, and during my visit, I particularly enjoyed exploring the fresh fruit and vegetable section as well as the impressive frozen section, which provided an abundance of choices. However, I did encounter a minor issue with the line for the famous roast chicken, where some customers were taking advantage of the situation by queuing up for multiple chickens. Nevertheless, I believe that implementing better rules, such as limiting the number of items customers can purchase, especially in the case of roast chickens, would greatly enhance the experience for all customers.Costco Auckland offers a remarkable shopping experience, with its extensive product selection catering to various needs. The fresh fruit and vegetable section caught my attention with its vibrant colors and bountiful options. It was a delight to choose from a wide array of high-quality produce, ensuring that I could find exactly what I needed. The frozen section at Costco is truly impressive. It boasts a diverse range of frozen foods, allowing customers to stock up on convenient and delicious options. From frozen fruits and vegetables to ready-to-eat meals and desserts, the selection is unparalleled. It's a paradise for those seeking convenience without compromising on taste or quality. While the majority of my shopping experience at Costco Auckland was exceptional, I did encounter a slight issue with the line for the famous roast chicken. Unfortunately, some customers were taking advantage of the situation by queuing up for multiple chickens, causing inconvenience to others. I strongly believe that implementing better rules, such as a limit on the number of items that can be purchased, especially for the roast chickens, would ensure fairness and improve the overall experience for all customers. This would prevent a few individuals from monopolizing the supply and allow more customers to enjoy the renowned roast chicken.Despite this minor issue, Costco remains a standout shopping destination due to its vast selection, competitive prices, and excellent customer service. The store provides a one-stop shopping experience where you can find everything you need under one roof, making it convenient and cost-effective.In conclusion, my recent visit to Costco Auckland was overall a wonderful shopping experience. The store's extensive selection, particularly the fresh fruit and vegetable section and the impressive frozen section, adds immense value to the shopping trip. Although there was a minor issue with the line for the roast chicken, implementing better rules and limitations on item purchases would enhance the experience for all customers. Costco remains a top choice for shoppers looking for quality products, great prices, and a wide variety of options.

Costco
OK but lots of items are in stock intermittently and often you can't find what you went there for. Loads of variety on some things but very hit and miss and limited items on others. Great if you consume a lot and like watching television while eating US made snacks but overpriced on a lot of items, forget doing a grocery shop here.

Costco
This place seems to rely on value for repeat business, customer service doesn't seem to be a priority. Perhaps because it was nearing the end of the day, but staff were unfriendly (to the customer at least- seemed happy to converse or even acknowledge other staff though) and unhelpful when asked questions. Especially the tyre section, where he couldn't even give a price on the display tyres which weren't price tagged.

Costco
Use to be a bigger fan of Costco if it wasn't for a few experiences I've had since becoming a member.1) Some of the pricing consistently up. I understand there's inflation, but for example, some staples like toilet rolls have crept up in price. I've found the pricing to be much the same as the local supermarket, except I'm not having to buy in bulk as I do at Costco. I use an app called Grocer to compare prices between supermarkets now.2) ALWAYS check the prices on your receipt. This is not something I normally have to do at the local supermarket, but I've come across it many times at Costco, where the ticket price on the items does not match the price on the receipt. I've even reported wrong ticket prices to customer services (the same item multiple times), and it's literally taken them 3-4 months to correct the pricing in the warehouse. I've also had some quite rude responses from the customer service team when I've brought it to their attention. They choose to not sign their name on the emails, so I'm not sure who it is exactly (probably the reason why they choose to be rude). However, props to Tui from the team though, she's very polite and helpful, and signs her name on emails.3) Bait advertising. The items they advertise on their social media and emails are not always in stock. I'm not meaning they've sold out, but on a couple of occasions I've made the trip in to find they're not anywhere on the warehouse floor. They have recently just added a 'disclaimer' on their social posts that the item might not be stocked. Good on them for doing this, however they should really make sure they're stocking the item they're posting. Not everyone is going to read the disclaimer at the bottom of their posts, or phone in to check if they're actually stocking what they're advertising. There are still some good deals, but I'll be reconsidering my membership when it's due for renewal.

Costco
I had a very unsatisfactory experience at Costco in Auckland today. Firstly, the prices were not significantly better compared to other stores. For example, the Japanese sesame sauce was almost identical to what I found at Pak'nSave. The selection of products was also quite limited. When I visited, they didn't have any chicken breast available, and the apples were moldy. The lemons had poor quality and were even worse than the ones at Pak'nSave, which cost only 0.99/kg. This level of quality is not what I would expect from a membership-based supermarket, nor is it representative of wholesale product standards. I must commend the service personnel at the entrance for their good attitude, but the cashier didn't say a single word. Now, let's talk about the food court. Firstly, the waiting time was unpredictable. I ordered a hot dog and ended up waiting for 30 minutes. It was a complete waste of time. Moreover, there were no available seats, and while waiting in line, a staff member rudely asked me to stand closer to the food court area, blocking the aisle. The queueing system was disorganized, and there should have been barriers to create order. Otherwise, you end up with a bunch of people crowding in front of the food court for 30 minutes, which is very disappointing.Overall, if you live next to Costco, it may be worth checking out for the occasional discounts. However, if you live far away, I strongly discourage going to Costco. Apart from meat and some specific imported products, there is no compelling reason to shop at this supermarket. Online shopping is a much better option, as it saves you time and delivers directly to your doorstep.

Costco
Good place to shop at but toilet stalls are too uncomfortably short. People that are tall can easily see over the stall and also there is way too big of a gap underneath the stall as well.

Costco
Rather small if compared to other Costco, but a good addition to the Auckland shopping scene.
