Hauraki Express - Water Taxi, Fishing Charters and Fuel Delivery

We used the water taxi service to Great Barrier and back. So easy going wharf to wharf. Great communications and service. Smooth trip out and great boat skills from Peter on the return trip in not so nice seas.

Went on a charter fishing excursion with these guys and they certainly delivered. The skipper was very chilled and easy going and made the whole trip enjoyable. We loaded up on live bait and them zoomed out to little barrier where we were straight into the Kingfish with everyone landing one. It was also great to see they encourage catch and release as you really only need a few Kingfish per group to get a really good feed for the family.The one area they really struggled was filleting the fish. Maybe the skipper was in a rush but the state of the fillets were not great if I am being honest. Not something you would expect from a professional charter service and certainly something that should be improved.Overall, they nailed the experience and got the boys on the fish right away which is the most important part.

Absolutely amazing experience! We were lucky enough to go out with Nick on Midnight Special and had such an awesome trip, lots of snapper and huge kingies- Kids even managed to catch a couple of keeper kingfish.Would definitely recommend Hauraki Express if you’re looking for a wicked day out with skippers who know what they’re doing and can find you the good spots!
