You should have a car as it is located 8km outside of Te Anau. The kitchen was really new, well equipped and very clean. The main house (where the kitchen is) is separated from the cabins, in which a bathroom with a shower and toilet is included. The room and bathroom was always very clean. The location comes along with a stunning view on the mountains, especially the sunset is just beautiful to watch from the terrace of the main house. The employees are very kind and helpful.The only disadvantage: there's no WiFi in the cabins and barely any other internet connection available, only in the main building.

Great location if you are going to Doubtful Sound . Only 10 minutes drive to the meeting point at Lake Manapouri . The shared kitchen is well organized and has everything you need . WiFi is a bit weak in the rooms and only works well in the shared area .

Lovely place to stay. This place is about 8 km of the Center of Te Anau. The cabins are basic but very clean. And they have a stunning view. There is a communal place where you can cook. A very clean and superspacious kitchen, with multiple firepits, an oven and a big fridge where you can leave your stuff in baskets.

Nice view but....not very well thought out for travellers! One electricity point in the cabin!well equiped kitchen but it would be so simple to put labels on the cupboard doors - saves time and people put things away correctly. The most astonishing thing about this place was the communal toilet - are they joking? One room with three toilets and washbasins - what a waste of space - how many guests have EVER gone in to use the toilet and left the door open so others can join them? Why not just put walls around the toilets and get presto....you'd have three toilets!With a little bit of thought,this could be a great place to stay.

Fantastic view, 10/10 clean, they had some food n drink party on Christmas Eve for visitors.... must visit and very reasonable rates

This place is so outback NZ I love it. Excellent view, chalets spacious, comfortable, clean and authentic vibes. Main lodge has wonderful wooden furniture, large open fireplace with an excellent kitchen and chill area.

I loved this place. If you search for a break from hiking this spot will be perfect. Beautiful views to mountains from rooms and common zone (you will still feel like being in nature). Great kitchen to prepare all types of meals. Leaflets about activities in zone. Friendly staff. I couldn’t ask for more!

This place is cute! The view is breathtaking. Only 4 guests per room in the dorms make the experience so much better than others. It is a bit old, but i didn’t mind. The kitchen was renovated and always clean which is my #1!

Only issue with our stay is that it was not long enough! We only had a very short over night stay before we did the Kepler track. The view was fantastic and beds were comfortable. Staff were lovely and very accommodating.
