Mad Mex - Tauranga Crossing Mall
I love it! Had our Enchilada and Naked Burito with Mojito and Margarita. Really good cozy vibe, if you finish work or before/ after movie meal. Really filling and the drinks are really nice. The staffs are super friendly as well. Good place to hang out without too formal with your family or friends and they open till 9pm.

I've ordered from here twice before the first time I ordered a burrito and there was no flavor whatsoever waste of money. Tried again a year later bought the 3 taco deal the have no flavor in the beef whatsoever, could've made a tastier taco at home. Never eating here again, not worth the money.

With a child with a dairy allergy it is always hard to find somewhere that will accommodate. The staff here were awesome and made sure my daughter was safe. The server Joel who served us was so helpful and professional. Thanks team

Ordered two burrito combos with chips and a drink. The burritos were cold when they got to us. No cheese or sour cream in them at all. There was barely any meat, just beans, rice and lettuce. Also something in the burrito tasted like dirt.At least the chips were nice. Wouldn’t recommend though. $49 down the drain.

Ordered food to go and got home only to realise the beans were covered in charcoal. My whole nacho dish was turned black from it and even had black sauce down the bottom. Have had this meal many times and I usually love it until tonight

I really like Mad Mex in general but this location was terrible. Every other Mad Mex has operated like a subway where they ask you what fillings you want as they make it, here they just took the order then went for it, but you didn’t even know what they were going to put in. The burritos were much much smaller than what I’ve had at other locations, the rice was undercooked to the point of being crunchy and the burrito wasn’t wrapped properly.I contacted the company to advise them that this location wasn’t holding up to their usual standards and got an apology and was told they would send some vouchers, but it’s been a few months now and still nothing.

Have eaten here a couple of times about a year or so back and the burrito and quesadillas were fine. But last Saturday, our group had chicken burrito and enchiladas and they were both dreadful. The first warning sign was when they said they'd run out of salsa verde - vital for enchiladas for me. There was no grilled cheese on top like they are normally served and the rice/beans mixture was very dry. When I complained they said the cheese was inside and offered me melted cheese which just made them edible. Also the actual tortilla was odd - very stretchy and really thick as one end. We will not come back again.

Go to this Med Mex frequently as I work in the mall (10% discount). staff are super friendly and I'm never waiting for too long. food is delicious especially the enchiladas, would highly recommend.
