Great food. Hummus portion is a bit small. The serving for 2 portion is way too small meat wise but overloaded with rice. Burger was great, lamb mince was excellent and good portion.

Took a visitor from Australia and one from Fiji for a ride from Wellington. Went for lunch at Afghan Darbar Restaurant. It was the first time for all of us to try Afghani food. Food was delicious and the person that served was very friendly.

I have tried almost everything on the menu and it all tastes great. We go there often and the food (the real food not the kebab wraps and stuff) is actually really yummy! We always choose a cooked meal. They have options for everyone in the family with all different dietary needs. It's one of our go-to eateries in Palmy.

Excellent food. Homemade feel to it. I had the chicken briyani, not quite what I was expecting a briyani to be as I have never had an Afghani briyani. Delicious nonetheless.Would be keen to try more from the menu.

Took an hour detour to try this restaurant as i love Afghani food. Was definitely worth it and loved the restaurant. The kobideh was great, the dampukht could have been more tender though. Staff was nice and dining area is beautiful as well.

I love Afghan cuisine, but this restaurant was a big let down. The prices are humongous for the quality and quantity. Just for an extra piece of shish (very small) on top of 2 serve plater, they ripped us off with additional $10. We would have minded if they tasted good, but it was not the case. Their chicken karahi was sour as hell. They had a kid at the service and obviously he had no clue of what a service should be. They only decent dish was the Kabuli pulav, which came in as a very small portion. I would only recommend this place for their kabuli pulav, but not for their kebabs and curries.

Wonderful food !! We ordered Bolani in appetizers, chicken kebab that came with rice and salad, falooda.Falooda is a must try!! Bolani was also simple yet flavourful. Overall awsome. Best if you are looking for a different cuisine to try and enjoy.
